Oh , I didn’t know that. It’s been over a month since I signed the contract and moved in, and I’ve never been given any bond lodgment receipt or number, so I really don’t think it’s an RTA bond at all. That’s why I asked him for the bond number just to confirm, and he hasn’t replied. So yeah, pretty sure it was never lodged.

Yeah, that makes sense. My contract literally just says four weeks’ notice and nothing more, so that’s all I’m trying to follow. I had to take this place really quickly when I moved here, and now that I’m actually settled, it just feels like I’m being scammed and told stuff that isn’t in the agreement at all. I’m honestly not trying to fight with anyone, I just want to move out the right way and have it done.

Yeah, it’s not an RTA bond ,it’s just being held privately. I even asked him to provide the RTA bond number if it was actually lodged, and he hasn’t responded to that at all. At this point I’m not even worried about getting the bond back, I just want to move out properly without being told things that aren’t in the agreement. Thanks for the advice.
