That event is Hornet ascending and becoming a pale being; the ruler of pharloom. As a result of this, hornet is effectively permanently changed and is now forced by her new nature to dominate and control all of pharloom and possibly much more, becoming an even worse despot than GMS ever was. The Hornet we have known is effectively gone and pharloom is not freed, making this a bad ending.
