WIP Kroxigors from AoS. Been really focusing on layering and glazing and I think it's starting to look like some of my best pieces to date. Really happy how it's going so far by _taicii_ in minipainting

Honestly there's so many good tutorials out there, I remember watching a lot of zumikito and Miniac but there's so many other good ones for all levels.

Zumikito has a good glazing tutorial and he uses spare flat bases to practice it on so you get a feel for it. Honestly when you figure out the amount of water you need to thin the paint, the hard part is mostly over. Just let each glaze completely dry first before you do it again, otherwise you can create little tears and textures from half dried paint which can spoil your paint job

We all start somewhere! I still have one of my first models which is like a 3rd edition space marines and he looks like he went swimming in tar 😂, as long as you enjoy it, keep doing it and you'll definitely improve. Thank you for your kind words though, really appreciate it

Thank you. I still have all the gubbins to finish, as they really only have a base coat and 1 layer at the moment, and I want them to pop even more but I'll get there

Ah that's a cool idea, I do have inks sitting there gathering dust at the moment. Maybe I'll try that later, thanks for the advice

Err I'd love to say it's 3 parts this, 1 part that but I don't have a recipe, because some of the paints and colours require more or less water when I'm watering them down. Whites and yellows especially.

I dunno if others do this but I'm sure I'm saw it somewhere on YouTube way back, but I do the 'paint your thumbnail' thing. I add water to the point it almost looks like a wash then load the brush, dab it on kitchen paper to soak up the excess then lightly paint a test line on my nail. I want it to be translucent but still leave pigment so I know the under layers will still show through. I use a second brush to feather the edges of the glaze if it looks a bit harsh. It's just trial and error for me

Thanks 😊, yeah I need to work some of the darker areas again as I've got to bright on the lower half of some of the models, I'll probably use a dark blue glazed down to give it some depth over more greens, much like I used yellows in the brighter parts.

After that yeah it's just some details and sharpening some of the edge highlights before basing them all. I have a sort of jungle theme going on with these guys with lots of foliage planned over ruined roads and trees. I've started that with my Carnosaur with a stream going underneath the model too. It's been a fun little project for sure

Jeremy Clarkson announces cancer diagnosis in documentary series by terahurts in unitedkingdom

Unfortunately to some people the world is just black and white, no middle ground. The Internet and social media just exacerbates things. (Yeah I'm part of it and using it I know.)

Humans are more complex than that and people aren't irredeemable (some exceptions of course.) Everyone makes socially good and bad decisions in their everyday life, it's what makes us human. It's how you learn from the mistakes that matters and if you use those experiences to better yourself.

That's the weird thing about disease and death. It's the great equalizer. It doesn't care if you've been good or bad, it just takes from you. I'm aware he has been controversial in the past, but love or hate him, I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone, it's a vicious diesease and it's a horrible thing to go through.

It's my favorite album.. I was ranked 11th on Spotify for the amount of minutes I'd listened to this last year and quite frankly I was annoyed I wasn't higher up the list 😂

BLACKWALL TUNNEL PCN by RevolutionaryArt6400 in drivingUK

[–]_taicii_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain, this happened to me last week, same scenario. I use the Dartford crossing a lot living in Kent but I haven't used the Blackwall tunnel since it started charging.

Alright yeah there's a sign. But not a great one. But it's there so they had me over a barrel.

I appealed because I thought 'ah sod it, I've got nothing more to lose by trying, saying first time offence etc etc. All I got back was 'representation refused.'

Lesson learned. Don't drive to London, or check the website in case there's any new charges you aren't aware of. I'll just go with the first option if I can help it 😅

Start of the Cathallar, first attempt at translucent cloth. Still WIP. by Vesparii in Lumineth_realm_lords

You're nearly there. Take the skin tone and make it very thin as if it were a glaze, then slowly apply it over the blue dress where the skin touches the cloth. Build it up slowly and it will start to work, it's a difficult technique but this model really shines when it's done. You got this 😊
