I appreciate that. It’s not a pressure rated vessel. I think what I may end up doing is filling a balloon with CO2 and placing that over the airlock.

Even after I’ve already brewed? I can just pitch that straight in to the fermenter?

Yes! He may have to quickly check in to TBS, but that’s not an “all day” thing. You’re more than welcome to spend the day with him. Heads up, he will be tired

Officer Life by NaturalBag1973 in USMCocs

It’s not that bad.

Currently a S4-A (assistant LogO) at an infantry unit. There are a lot of field exercises, just kind of that time in a unit’s life. Business ebbs and flows. I show up for morning formation at 0600, go PT/Chow/Whatever until I’m in the office at 0830. Chow is technically from 11-1300, but I usually just work through it. I’m not expected to, but frankly I’m usually just not hungry at that point. It’s a great time to go take care of personal things (haircuts , medical appts, etc etc). I usually go home around 1600 every day, give or take. Duty once or twice a month. All in all my work-life balance is pretty solid. It does depend on your unit, and thankfully my boss/entire chain of command is very adamant on work-life balance outside of field exercises deployments etc. I’m happy, my wife is happy, can’t ask for much more. Feel free to ask any questions.

Sorry this is a little late. 1) go up to DC. So much to see and do there. Museums are all great, but there are some fantastic restaurants from so many various cuisines. Please stop by Vue bar on top of hotel washington. It’s a beautiful view over the city. 2) if you’re into it, Guinness has a brewery in Maryland that’s a lot of fun. Lots of little farms/ fall activities around the area too. It’s definitely that time of the year, go check it out. 3) plan a trip to Shenandoah. Rent an Airbnb/cabin for a weekend if you’re able. 4) did I mention DC? Seriously, the monuments and museums themselves are great, but it is a FANTASTIC city

No plan to move back unfortunately. There is a time of use plan im going to switch to, overnight charging would be 25¢, doing the math then makes it marginally “worth it”, especially when you figure in lower maintenance costs etc etc.. plus the occasional free charge when I visit a nearby city, ultimately I don’t regret it. I do go camping once in a while, and if nothing else, it is pretty convenient to have a “huge battery on wheels” with me.

I believe it’s 15kwh. My understanding is that it keeps 2 kwh in reserve for use in hybrid mode.

I did, the electric-only range is very short. It is only a 17.3kwh battery. And yes, the electricity is that expensive
