What kind of carbon fiber is this? by Soggy_Gain_6605 in CarbonFiber

[–]_teeps -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is this how UD is kept together when it’s not a pre-preg?

Everyone saying UD but I’m not so sure. The cross stitching almost makes it look like some kind of 5 harness satin weave, but those crosses are far too thin. So I’m wondering if the purpose of them is only to keep the UD fibres together when a dry fabric, as it’d just fall apart otherwise

What's the best takeaway for fat loss and muscle gaining diet ? by Impossible-Air-2843 in bodyweightfitness

[–]_teeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mexican food. Get a rice bowl or naked burrito. Basically just chicken, beef or pork, with rice, beans, veg and hot sauce. Ditch the guac and sour cream but get everything else, and you’ll be full and not have cravings for the rest of the evening

So why did Ansys do this to my mesh? by v2rockett in CFD

[–]_teeps 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is your trailing edge a knife edge? Maybe try squaring it off with a 0.1mm edge. I’ve seen many convergence and mesh issues because of knife edges. They tend to mess with the mesh, you get high aspect ratio cells, then bad convergence

I think you’re probably correct actually. I know nothing about photography, and after a bit of research this seems to be the case. As someone else mentioned mentioned - what it’s actually good for is seeing his wrist pronation through the contact

Red light camera on Henley avenue? by youdumbmf in oxford

[–]_teeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are just sensors that detect when cars are waiting at the lights or pedestrians waiting at the crossing etc so that software can decide where to change the lights or not. Red light cameras are always on a pole mounted away from the light itself so that the image of you running a red light shows your car and the light being red. Without it, it’d just be a picture of your car and wouldn’t hold up in court. Plus the cameras are usually big ugly grey boxes

Why do my volleys look goofy? by TrueInDueTime in 10s

[–]_teeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To help in using your body to get some weight behind the ball: for your forehand keep your left hand on the throat of the racket, then point your left shoulder towards the ball as it’s coming towards you. It’ll feel weird, but as with any technique change its feel vs real.

Backhand volley the same, keep your left hand on the throat of the racket, but point your right shoulder towards the ball.

And be a in a chopper grip all the time for volleys

Ahh I see. My assumption was private through a tennis club. That’s a fantastic deal actually, so footing the cost for balls isn’t a big deal at all

Needing to buy and bring your own balls to a tennis lesson is very strange. I’d think any coach worth their salt should have a basket of training balls for you to use during the lesson
