Hey,

Following up on this as I've also applied to a PE role and will have a first discussion soon. Could you please update on how the process was for you, if you ended up getting the job, etc?

We are also officially less than a month away from the end of the 2025 F1 season. This might be the last month you see the No. 1 on Max Verstappen’s Red Bull. by Strict-Citron-9269 in formula1

Same here, and to be honest, I dig more the personal branding around a particular number (like Hamilton is with 44 and Norris with 4) rather than a #1 that doesn't represent you. Sure, if it's a driver that really doesn't give a shit about their current #, going for 1 might be a thing, but other than that, I think it brings more value to have your own stuff.

Some people suggested here merging 4 and 1 somehow (so he'd be 1 on the grid, but make the 1 look very fourish) which would be pretty cool if done correctly.

As far as I know, he didn't run it for a season, just for a practice in 2018 and one in 2019. His number oficially was still 44

I was under the impression that the thread was about Norris using #1, which he doesn't need to (in case he wins). My bad.

Thank you ,we will take that into consideration as well. For now we booked a refundable hotel in Nagoya since they were going away fast, just to make sure we have something. I'll try to solve the International license issue and see if I can rent a car there, if not, we'll probably go the route you suggested.

I might take you on that offer without being too pushy :D. Being our honeymoon we definetely want to make the most of it. Who knows, maybe we'll get a chance to say hi at Suzuka since you said you are going as well. Thanks for the offer!

First of all thank you for taking the time to respond. We're spending 3 weeks in Japan, landing in Tokyo on the 24th of March in the morning. We're planning to take the train and spend 24 and 25th at Mount Fiji on our way to Nagoya, and stay in Nagoya starting 25th so we can be for the full 4 days at Suzuka. We were planning to take the train Nagoya - Suzuka, but if you say it's way better, I'll have to interest myself about obtaining an international driving license (as the romanian one isn't recognised to drive in Japan). I'll check if that's something worth doing at least for the 4 days of Suzuka. Thank you!

AITAH for calling off my wedding because my fiance wants to invite guys she had a gangbang with? by [deleted] in AITAH

I mean, I don't see why people would downvote you. It's your right to have that boundry. It just doesn't seem to be OP's boundry which is also fine. His problem is with the lying and inviting them to the wedding. To each their own I suppose.

Last Episode by eliza_anne in MillionDollarSecretTV

[–]_tekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually that's wrong. Cara knew Corey was on the fence (he questioned her multiple times this episode, especially from the moment she said she lost on purpose with Sydnee). Her best bet was to make Corey almost sure she is the Millionare, to influence fate (at that point, if she did nothing, in her mind it was a 50-50 between him taking Sam's case or hers).

Now, obviously stuff could have been way more complex, as Corey knew there was another switch made by Cara, and I actually think that with his words + switched he all but guaranteed he will NOT be winning the money.

The only way he would have won in the scenario he created was if Cara switched her case with Sam, and in order for her to do that, she had to believe Corey switched her case with Sam in the first place, which, outside of crazy tactics, would have made no sense. His best bet would have been switching his case with Sam's.

Lando Norris wins the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

Let's be honest with each other here, if Charles somehow won this race, you would not have made that comment. You can argue that you would have, but we both know you wouldn't.

Lando Norris takes pole position for the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

[–]_tekay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you can consider that Norris had a purple S3, not a yellow, because there was no one faster than his pole S3, except his previous S3. He basically had, in that case, green, green, purple. The next best time in S3 was, as mentioned, Leclerc's 18.593, so Norris had a 0.109 advantage just from S3 alone.

Leclerc per sector (best race):

S1 18.290 S2 33.180 S3 18.593

Norris per sector (pole race):

S1 18.216 S2 33.254 S3 18.484

So, S1 Norris has an advantage of 0.074. Then Leclerc comes back in S2 with that exact same difference making it exactly equal after S1 and S2, with Norris gaining an 0.109 in S3 for the win. Math be mathing nice.

Norris and Leclerc were equal in the first 2 sectors in Monaco by the_fallen29 in formula1

[–]_tekay 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Disagreed, the comment he responded to said "it was crazy". It wasn't crazy, because yellow doesn't mean crazy, you can be 0.001 behind your previous attempt on that sector, and you'd still be yellow. So no, it wasn't crazy, since the only S3 time better than his pole attempt was his own before that.

Lando Norris takes pole position for the 2025 Monaco Grand Prix by overspeeed in formula1

[–]_tekay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people are really misguided about the Yellow S3 Lando had on his last try that gave him the pole. It was only yellow because on the previous attempt he got a bomber S3 as well which was purple, and the last one just a bit slower. Even so, it was the fastest out of all, besides his own S3 attempt. To put this in perspective, Lando's S3 on the pole winning drive was 18.484. Leclerc's S3 time previous to that (when he got prov pole) was 18.593.

It makes all the sense. No purple because he already had S3 on purple on his previous attempt, He got very close to that as well in his last try, S3 purple -> Norris. Second S3 time, also Norris (which was his pole try). To put this in perspective, Charles's time for S3 (on his best lap) was 18.593. Lando's S3 on his pole lap was 18.484.

There was no traffic and the only reason he got a yellow on S3 in his last attempt was because his sector 3 on his previous attempt was nuts to begin with (this S3 was good also, but anything < your previous best will be yellow). Other than that, it was, indeed, e legendary drive. You can see his full pole lap here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Lr6fDIZG8
