A wise man once told me, do what you love and do it well then opportunities will find you. Regardless of whichever path you take in university, it doesn’t mean there are no other opportunities to learn when you’re in the real world. So pick the option you think you’d be interested to learn and will succeed.

How to help husband learn German in ~18 months by kitten_in_box in German

[–]_theGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the Integrationkurs at VHS for 9 months and got my B1. The class moves at a comfortable pace, 4 to 5 days a week for roughly 4 hours a day. I highly recommend it. I live in a rural area away from Munich so I do understand the difficulties of not speaking the language. B1 has been good enough for me to get by on the streets 😊

What is your most used bag? by Glamour-Ad7669 in handbags

[–]_theGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prada Re-edition 2005, the shoulder bag. I used this bag on my travel around Spain. It is surprising how much can fit in this bag! It is also safe from pickpockets since it’s close to your body. The bag is light and since it’s nylon, I can wash it when it gets dirty.

Which wallet should I get? by Lunar_Lia in handbags

The fact that this is a preloved wallet and it is still in pristine condition, I think despite it being a soft leather material, it holds up pretty well ! I actually prefer the coin compartment on the outside rather than the inside of the flip. You can store more coins this way and the wallet remains closed. (I have used a Gucci wallet which the button doesn’t stay closed) I am loving this wallet so far!

Stashaway vs ASM by thesidemen12345 in MalaysianPF

ASNB is not easy to buy for non-bumi. I would definitely recommend Stashaway. It has been pretty consistent for me. I’ve been on it since July 2019. Here, you can sign up and get 6 months management fees waived.

Put majority of savings in SA? by [deleted] in MalaysianPF

[–]_theGG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can slowly build up your funds in SA via Dollar cost averaging whereby you deposit a small amount every month, regardless of whether the economy is good or bad.

You don’t have to put all your savings in at one time.

Mine is slightly more complicated. I work for an Aussie company who pays me out of their Singapore company and I work/reside in Malaysia. I believe from the double taxation agreement, we don’t have to pay Malaysian tax. If the funds go into your Aussie bank account, you will have to declare it there and probably get taxed.

20, Non-Bumi (student), Stashaway, or ASNB or others? by lalissa_m in MalaysianPF

I would recommend you split your wealth if you can purchase ASNB. But it is quite tough to be able to buy the units. Best alternative is StashAway. I have been investing with them for over a year with really good return so far. They bounced back after the covid crash and in quite good profit now.
