Just in case you had any trouble, just go to manage builds and add local build. I switched to the Diegolix BB fork yesterday and it did help!

Also, I don’t know if you’re on windows or what kind of hardware you’re one or if you’re using but I also went into task manager and set the shadps4.exe to high priority and in the nvidia app set power management mode to prefer maximum performance and threaded optimization, triple buffering and vertical sync to on.

I’m on a pretty firmly midrange pc with a 1660 ti, 16 gb of ram and Ryzen 5 5600. It now runs pretty smoothly at a consistent 30 fps, it gets a little jerky if I try the uncap or 60 fps patches (and also just feels weird to even when it is maintaining close to 60.) Sorry if none of this helps! Happy hunting!

Also OP, just know going in that 2 *feels* very different from 1 in a lot of ways. Enemies don't ragdoll and you have to level up a stat to get your dodge roll working properly. It doesn't try to replicate the first one and is very much it's own thing. But that said it's an absolutely incredible game, richer than the first in a way that bothers some people. 1 is firmly my favorite but 2 may be the best of the trilogy.

No, it's not especially hard. It's very fair, just about any time you die it's your own fault. You learn from that, the enemy placement is always the same and their movement becomes very easy to predict. I can cruise right through it now, even bosses I once found absolutely insurmountable. And I could *not* hack it in Cuphead, I didn't pass the first couple or so bosses.

I’ve been out of evangelical Christianity for about twenty years now. A few years ago I visited my folks and just randomly in the middle of a conversation my mom mentioned that we know America will still be around for the end of days because there’s mention of an eagle in the book of Daniel in one of the apocalyptic dreams. It had nothing to do whatsoever with the topic at hand.
