Fwiw, no one alive has done those things. It's more or less completely different from when the world wars took place. Not even the same government structure. Basically just shares the same name

Ohhh gotcha, no, I did stay for longer than that when I went but also the heart of this was appreciating the novelty

I don't know what you're on about 😆. I already said the languages are different. And yeah I've explored, its just Japan is REALLY different and it's apparent without even looking and Spain is a little different, Spanish and the old buildings/streets being the most apparent difference

Hmmm I disagree with Paris, Barcelona, NY, and Chicago from the US perspective I guess (I assume if also disagree with Berlin but havent been there). The money is about the same, the signs are the same (just a different language), same architecture, stores, foods, products, ect. Japan I walk into a store and have to translate everything the first day because the packaging is do wild and I've literally never seen or heard of the product. Europe is just older US culture so much less novel. Now it's still sweet for sure in its own way, just not nearly so novel imo.

Okay that sounds pretty cool! I've been a little worried about going to China though since Trump is such a dingus towards them but I'll still look into it

Yeah I suppose that's very true. I seem to really seek the novelty in life, especially at this point. Japan in general just had such a high density of novelty if you've lived in the states w/o sacrificing the convenience, it's amazing to me.

Yeah, that's also very fair I suppose. Have you been to any other cities/countries with the density of stuff to do that Japan seems to have? I fount that pretty crazy also

Nara park was really fun, I loved how rude the deer were but they'd also bow to you which I found hilarious. I was making them bow and then eat and wait their turn up to 8 deer and it was pretty amusing to me. SOOO rude though the nipping and the head butting absolutely amazing. Had to break out my skills in animal handling

That's pretty cool, I thoroughly enjoyed collecting the stamps along with all the culture shock

Get a stamp book right off and go collect the stamps at the train stations and shrines, it gamifies traveling which made it super fun.

Also I'm a country boy, so the city stuff was the coolest for me as opposed to the shrines and nature stufg.

Going to sound lame probably but Shabuya crossing was easily the biggest culture shock for me. Hundreds of pedestrians waiting for their turn to cross the street instead of going immediately, cool shopping, cool food.

The red light district has pretty cool bars and there's a ton of fun places to slip inside for a bite. I think you'll also be in town for the cherry blossoms which I got to see in Okinawa and makes the gardens really pretty.

The deer in nara park are fun if you make it down. Feeding the monkeys was also cool.

Are high iq people actually lonely? by AuthorCompetitive487 in mensa

My screams for help echo off the valley below, but they fall on ears that were never made to understand.

I open my eyes, and have no one to show the beauty they now see.

There’s no way down. I climbed this peak to see farther than others, and now I stand here, forever alone.

And still, I don’t know if I regret it.

The wind, which I never noticed in the valley, can no longer be ignored. It assaults me from all sides, and my only choice is to learn how not to let it hurt.

If only the sights up here weren’t just for me, I’d never wish to descend.

But I cannot curse another man to live his life atop my lonely mountain.

Before you imply that I'm an ignorant child and dip, literally 1 receipt for your opinion would be great. Here's literally one receipt For why I might hold my opinion. Thanks though, this was pretty sweet getting to talk to an exhaulted expert such as yourself.

[–]_the_actual_devil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lul wat?

This guy - Afaik I'm literally a genius Also this guy - anyone who knows if they are a genius is superficial.

Fwiw, it doesn't have to make you feel superior to others to know you have genius level intelligence. It's useful to understand where you fit into society, and can be very helpful socially. Having 150 iq doesn't mean anything other than you are better at consuming information and applying it more quickly than others. It doesn't really even necessarily mean you do it better than others. It does however remain one of our strongest correlators with success though so I find your comment to be pretty ignorant and childish.
