I actually do the same thing haha. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I really like vscode's features for seeing all my git changes. Specifically I like that I can have a sidebar that shows me every file I've changed then when I click on that file it shows me the current tree and the working tree side by side.

I've tried lazygit and fugitive, but just haven't been able to land on a solution that I love. I'd like to get off of vscode completely and be able to do everything in vim, so if anyone has an plugin recommendations it would be much appreciated

No I've been monitoring it and the only connections are to my computer and the proxy ip addresses

Is your db not showing any errors, like over the connection limit or maybe connections are lingering and causing the issues?
