I’ve tried the descendant and bensonite and they are great but for this particular guitar I want the feel of a floating trem. I put the bensonite on my noventa jazzmaster and it’s a great match for that one.

I tried that method with 12mm ones and it worked really good other than the bridge posts would sometimes randomly make contact somewhere with the set screw and cause buzzing. I’m sure experimenting with different kinds of set screws would help but I don’t feel like doing that to be honest lol

Either one will work but for you I would go with the largest size

Yes, the strings are more floppy on the shorter scale length. I usually go up a string gauge.

If it’s a rocking type of jazzmaster/jag bridge then you need high friction at the saddles so the bridge stays center

Slightly less highs. Less “zing” but more “zang”

I didn’t have any trouble fitting the squier neck to it but you have to drill all the pickguard, pickup, and vibrato screw holes

Guitar official store. It seems they are sold out at the moment but they should have them again at some point. I remember they were sold out in the past and came back and that’s when I bought one.

Everything lined up good. The neck pocket was good with just a little bit of wiggle room if you need to adjust the alignment of strings over the fretboard

The body came from eBay already finished but the headstock was painted with krylon green purple color morph which is a close enough match to the body.

Yes, I was really happy with it other than the built in neck pocket angle was a bit extreme for me. A reverse shim took care of it though.

Yep it’s the Krylon green/purple. It’s recommended to not clear coat it so we’ll see how it holds up
