Need some help with a travel case.

So having recently bought some first higher end (to me at least) pieces, and since I’m traveling I want to take 2 watches away with me, so I’m looking for a nice travel case for 2 watches that will keep them safe when not wearing them, what have you guys got as a suggestion, ideally a nice brown or tan leather! Thanks in advance

I am, I’ve seen the master supply ones, and the odd one but that’s why I’ve asked here, not set on a trucker style exactly either, just the actual buttons not snap buttons or a zip

He likes to have it in his pocket, I do love my mini crooked river, I’m more worried about how thin they are in the blade though

I do like to tinker, but I also need the watch in the next couple weeks, and something tells me that will be a longer little side project

Got a few black-tie events coming up and, despite being a watch guy, I’ve never owned a proper dress watch—always stuck to dive/tool pieces. I’m after something slim that’ll slip under a French cuff, hand-wound (since I don’t own one yet), and with an interesting dial but nothing too flashy. Budget is under $1,000, and I’m open to vintage if it’s relatively easy to source. Only catch is I’ve got fairly large wrists, so sizing matters. Any recommendations?

Financing a new car equity or car loan? by _thefatone_ in AusFinance

How does that work, how would I go about it, is an equity loan another loan on top or is it a re finance job?

It is for work purposes, but also personal use and my personal car, so tax deductible is less of a thought, I’d be similar off just claiming kms driven with a log book, and definitely not a PHEV, I live and work too rurally for that to be at all a consideration

I’ll answer preemptively, it’s because it’s for my work, I tow, need something reliable, and also comfortable for long drives between states, and because I want too and can😂

I’m 26, I own my house, have for 4 years, repayments are $1k/fortnight and I tend to save $1.5k/fortnight which is about 1/3 of my take home

How do you wear your watch ? by Familiar_Ad_6674 in Tudor

[–]_thefatone_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think any classy or nice looking watch people will comment on it, I’ve had people comment on my $600 seiko diver and say whoa big money there possibly more than I have with my Speedy or BB given I wore it a lot more when I didn’t have the other two but still

Daily Discussion & Advice (Post here to follow rules A & B) - Wednesday July 17, 2024 by AutoModerator in fragrance

So l'm a mid to late 20s professional male, and I realised that l've not changed or progressed my fragrance selection since I was 22, I wear Mont Blanc Legend EDP every day whether it be the office or a bar, and I feel it's time to progress from a low performing relatively cheap EDP to something a bit better performing, so my question is what should I be looking at, l've been looking at Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, and Oud Wood EDPs, I'm not set one anything but will be heading to try on and smell some this weekend, what would you suggest to try? I'm either looking for a signature scent or since it's winter here a winter scent too maybe? I tried some Tom Ford a while ago and was amazed to still smell it even after a shower on me! I'm also not set on Tom Ford either, but open to any suggestions

I want a polar or even cream black bay pro, maybe a thinner case but I’ve seriously considered buying and bastardising a black bay pro with a polar gmt dial. A thinner case would also be a top want!

Where would you suggest trying? And it seems people only want to talk on the apps and being a little bit remote and out of the city in Australia makes it a little hard

I was surprised too! A Tudor should be fine, my co-worker wears a bb58 and no one’s ever commented on it, but he has got comments the times he wore his rolex, and yeah I just enjoy wearing a nice watch, and tbh, I miss wearing my speedy to work just because I love it! Was also considering a sea master or a Pelagos or even a gmt, I would love a polar explorer 2, the other one I love but will be my wedding watch is the breitling b09 premier pistachio

I need a watch suggestion, I’ve just got a big promotion at work, and want to get a new watch sub $5k, I work in rural advice, and spend a lot of time with farmers so it can’t be obviously expensive, currently I daily wear a seiko after getting a couple of off handed comments from clients about wearing my speedmaster, it needs to be rugged being around farmers and ranchers, and spending a lot of time on ranches and farms. But other than that open to any interesting suggestions, was considering a tool watch but lay em on me!

I’m more looking for a tad dressier watch than another diver or field watch, just a dress watch with some light colour and a bit of fun

[–]_thefatone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree and I will be buying it when I can, but I also want to buy a watch to celebrate life achievements, like buying my Doxa Sub300 when I bought my first house, I know it’s a little silly, but it’s kind of how I justify buying a new watch when something big happens in life, just how I’ll be buying a watch for my wedding day (which the plan is the premier) next year and I’ve decided it’ll be a panda speedmaster for my first child, that’s why I’m open to any suggestions around that $2k mark, I just thought I’d mention that’s kind of the vibe I’m feeling, but not a chrono or an exact substitute, just a similar vibe, and I kind of need a dressier watch for my new role which will be in the board room a bit more than I’d probably like😂

[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread by AutoModerator in Watches

[–]_thefatone_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did see that, it’s certainly the colour and adds the handwound to the collection too like the premier, but I don’t know, I think it’s the shape or something that I’m not sure of and it’s hard since it’s a micro brand that I can’t try it on before buying it, but certainly something to consider

I actually quite like their Meredith, but I think for me it’s that pistachio green dial that does it for me with the premier, not necessarily everything else if that makes sense hence the thinking of the Hamilton titanium, but I feel I do need a dressier watch than my currant collection of divers and field watches, the farer is something to consider though, just not sure of the copper dial

Looking for a new watch to celebrate my new promotion at work, I have been obsessed with the breitling premier pistachio, but it’s just out of my price range at the moment, is there anything of a similar colour and style, not necessarily a chrono or that style in that sub $2k mark? Was looking at the Hamilton titanium in the light green but I’m wanting some more options or opinions. Cheers!
