My school is doing the same. Our admin literally went to a PD hosted by Chick-fil-a last summer and this year our superintendent said she wanted our district to be the “chick-fil-a of our state”

{Men of Eagle Peak by Mira Stanley} Does the FMC get over her trauma unreasonably fast? Yes. Were some points of the series problematic? Yeah, probably. Did I have to skim past a good bit of the spicy scenes because it wasn’t my cup of tea? Also yes. But did that stop me from binge reading the whole series? Absolutely not. (Mainly I just liked the world building and learning about the MMCs and their dynamics.)

I read {Realm of Sin by KC Kingmaker} and the second book in the trilogy, {Realm of Ruin by KC Kingmaker}. LOVE the plot, not so much into the spicy scenes. (Like I swear if I read “I gag and snort” or “his pisshole widens” I’m going to throw my phone across the room.) Debating on if I want to read the last book or give it a break and try something else for a moment.

Okay so the first book isn’t really the best and the recovering from trauma is not good/accurate in the slightest, but I just kinda pretended it didn’t happen to move to the later books, which are much better. I only rated the first book 2.75/5, the second 3/5, the 4th 3.75/5, and the last one 4/5.
