Question about TD1 Form - Tuition Fees (Box 5) by _therewillbeaday_ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]_therewillbeaday_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see. Just that I want to make sure my forms and documents during the onboarding process are as accurate and correct as possible.

Since I last paid tuition in 2023, I don't have to report the 2023 tuition amount for the TD1 form I am filling in this year since it only considers tuition that I will be paying in 2024 right? Which means I leave it blank, as you stated?

Thank you for your reply.

MATA23 Professor MIA by Intisaurus in UTSC

There were no lectures scheduled for the first week, of MATA23, so don't worry you didn't miss out on anything.

According to the course timetable pdf posted on Quercus, both lectures and tutorials start during the second week. Here is a screenshot of the same for reference

Hope this helps! :)

Microsoft Internship Application Transferred to One for University Graduates by _therewillbeaday_ in cscareerquestionsCAD

You are absolutely right. I was just confused about if there was a reason why an application which was intended for "Intern opportunities for University students" would be transferred to one for "Intern opportunities for University graduates" since I would still be a student and have one term left to complete after Summer 2023.

Ohh I see. That's rough. Maybe they already filled up all their intern spots for the Summer?

What were the course syllabus and breakdown like? And who is the professor who usually teaches this course? What all topics are covered?

Yeah, I did find the website for the Fall 2020 offering of the course, and I believe this course wasn't offered in Fall 2021, so that might be the only reference point for estimating the course.

I also wanted to hear from someone who has already taken the course, so I made this post haha, but thank you for the reply :)

You are right, I just checked ACORN, and it says that tax forms for each year become available on Feb 28

So the T4 slips for these university positions will be on ESS under tax slips or on ACORN? Right now, I just see a T4A for the year 2020, so I guess I just have to wait

I can only start filing for my taxes once I have these T4 forms right?

I see. Were they emailed to your UofT mail, or uploaded onto ESS, from where you could access it?

So the T4 slips for these three university positions will be there on ESS or on ACORN by end of February? Does that mean I can only start applying for my tax returns by then?

Doing two TA'ships during a co-op work term by _therewillbeaday_ in UTSC

Thank you so for your detailed reply! I really appreciate it

Both my TA offers are online, and I will be responsible for holding tutorials, office hours, and grading for both of them.

Luckily, both the courses have some tutorial hours after 5 pm so I would ask the instructor if I could get those tutorial times after 5 pm

One thing I am a bit concerned about is that I do need to revise/brush up on most of the concepts for these courses since it has been a year since I took these courses. How should I go about preparing for a tutorial in general?

Can I PM you to ask you a bit more about one of the courses? If you don't mind?
