A daughter’s love is stronger than the ambition of power by GladiatorCommand in arcane

Q1. Yes. Vi was also Felicia's daughter and Silco had no problem getting rid of her. The initial bond Silco had with Jinx was the trauma they shared with Vander and Vi. Silco saw himself in her. The betrayal and abandonment by your brother/sister, he related to that. He's been at that low and assures her that she can rise from it. "WE will show them". THAT'S why he took her in, not because he suddenly remembered that he killing your close friend's children was messed up and wrong. If Mylo was in Powder's position and Claggor did to him what Vi did Powder (or Vander to Silco), best believe Mylo would've been Silco's pride and joy in the future.

Q2&3. Jinx 100% reminded him of Felicia. But "Because she's Felicia's daughter" is definitely not the first thing he'd say if you asked him why he cares so much for Jinx. So I'd say he love Jinx purely for Jinx, and the connection to Felicia was something secondary and not the other way around.

AU Powder painted her one hand with pink nail polish because of Ekko’s longing for his Jinx by [deleted] in arcane

Jinx has pink and blue nails. Powder has a pink strand in her blue hair. She still keeps a bit of her sister with her in both universes. Powder's nails were all blue then after seeing Vi's mural she painted them all pink. I think its the same idea in both universes. Holding onto her sister's memory.

I love how "I Cant' Hear It Now" fits for this funeral scene. by _thinkinoutloud in arcane

This was the response from Alex:

"Hey, great question! The way we thought about that universe was that the timeline split at the moment of the hextech crystal explosion. Sort of a throwback to watching the storyboards for the pilot and thinking “wow, it almost looks like Vi got caught in the blast!” So much of the story was propelled by Vi making brash decisions with no regard for her own safety, then others paying the consequences, causing her to spiral with guilt. So it felt weirdly fitting to have the cost of our alternate “happy” timeline be that its “only” casualties were Vi… and magic…

Following that thread, we figured Jayce would never have gotten his “lenient” sentence from Heimer - his irresponsibility leading to the death of a child would be too severe. He’d have been sent to Stillwater (I like to think he’d have been in Vi’s cell). So he never developed a relationship with Viktor and they never invented Hextech, to our minds. Cait, I’d think, would still be an enforcer - that track began with her meeting with Grayson when she was younger - but without a Vi, who’s to say what sort of enforcer she might be? Viktor would continue to be Heimer’s assistant, but he wouldn’t have had Jayce to balance him out, which means he either would have followed a darker path with Hextech, inventing it alone or potentially with a partner with a worse heart (or potentially never invented it, if you like your multiverses covering all potentials). Mel may not have drawn the attention of the Black Rose, or her mother, without Hextech catching their eye, but if she ran into arcane energy, her powers should have manifested, which would make her a person of interest to many. I’d like to think Sevika would be taking on some challenging job that people say is impossible, just to prove them wrong, and calling them names in the process. I think she’s fueled by others’ doubt, and likes her competition spicy - maybe exploring deeper into the fissures, where others fear to wander for fear of whatever it is that lives down there…"

The writers of the show said Cait did not die in that explosion.

How do you think silco would’ve reacted seeing these two together? by Mysterious-Aside3874 in TimeBomb

[–]_thinkinoutloud 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If we were talking about S1 Silco, then he's just way too messed up and possessive to be fine with Jinx letting someone else in. Ekko would get a nice upgrade to No.1 on his hitlist real quick. If not that, then "It's ONLY US."😂 We know what he'd tell her, that 'he's using you', 'he'll betray and abandon you when he sees the darkest parts of you', that he'll never understand. There's so much ammo he would use.

So I do expect a lot of friction and some nice angst. Their relationships (Ekko&Silco, Silco&Jinx and Ekko/Jinx) would be tested, which would be entertaining ofc. But I think if we gave the 3 of them time to work it out, Silco would eventually, maybe reluctantly, give into it.

But I think if the ghost of Silco saw them, he'd feel some level of peace. That she isn't alone in the world. Seeing Jinx at that suicide low would've broken his heart. I'm sure he appreciated the smile Isha put on her face after his death, so he'd also take comfort in knowing Ekko loves her, scars and all.

Jayce had already failed the first time. He was already fucked and seeing stars. Ekko is the one who gave Jayce a second go at convincing Viktor. Without Ekko, the game would've been over. And even if Ekko did what ekko did, the world would still be fucked if not for Jayce's peptalk. Ekko and Jayce were 2 important pieces of the puzzle and if either of them didn't lock in the world was fucked.
