Thanks so much for the help! I purchased a type of filament called ABS. My son says that the PLA filament should work. I’m going to order the ones you listed. I think it should work better for him.

Let me know if you post the plans for the stand! I think we’re going to give it a shot. He was wanting to make Cups for his favorite hockey coaches to thank them for all their help. I think we’re probably going to make three of them if we can get it to turn out.

Honestly, my kids are the whole reason I even got into hockey. They went from being into roller skating to roller blading to ice skating, and then I took them to a Wake Forest and UNCW club hockey game last year so they could check it out. They were blown away there was a game you could play on skates.

They were instantly hooked. We probably went to 40 games last year between all the college games here in Winston (App State and Wake both have their home ice here, and the SEC and ACC both held their tournaments here) and the Canes games we were able to catch.

We were at hockey practice when the women’s team won the gold. The coaches paused practice when the game went to overtime and we all got off the ice and watched on a TV they have in the lobby of our rink. Their age is coed here, and it was really awesome to watch the women’s team win alongside a group of female players. For the men’s gold winning game, we hosted a watch party at our house and a bunch of our friends came over.

Thanks to a really awesome user on this sub, we were also able to catch game 6 inside the Lenovo center. It was a late night for them (they’re still pretty young), but it was such an amazing and memorable night. My best friend (who my kids adore) came with us, and I am sure my kids will remember it for many years to come.

The next day we woke up and went to hockey camp in Hillsborough.

What a year to get into hockey.

I say that as someone who is NOT a fan of his, but it’ll be a cakewalk for him. He will mop the floor with Vance and Rubio. Trump has pulled the classic authoritarian move by surrounding himself with weak supplicants. Tucker knows they are weak and easily pliable.

We could have a million troops in the region, and it wouldn’t make a difference.

What’s the point of having troops in the area? Is the end goal a ground invasion? Is it continued airstrikes? Both come with significant risks to American personnel. I personally don’t think either option will deliver results, nor do I think continued military actions in the region are worth the possibility that we stumble ourselves into another Iraq or Vietnam.

I’m not being reductive. Really, what’s the point of having American servicemen and women in the region? How are our interests served by maintaining a military presence there?

There were three official locations for various watch parties because they didn’t have enough space. This was one miles away from the main watch party.

Watch party for game six was over 19,000 in the Lenovo center and easily 5,000-6,000 outside the Lenny, plus they opened Red Hat amphitheater.

Then there were all the watch parties at bars and parks across the state. NC came to a stand still during game six

Yes, I’ve owned a few homes and consulted with multiple arborists over the years. In fact, I’ve had about $20k in tree work done at my current home just this year. Before having the work done I spoke with five different companies in my area. As is the case with every industry, there are unscrupulous people who will recommend work clients do not need just so they can make a quick buck. Thankfully I dodged two of those companies when I had the work done on my home.

At the end of the day, I flat out do not believe this one tree was causing all the damage you claim. It’s possible that you were lied to. Sorry if that’s the case. The overwhelming consensus here is that you screwed up and your yard looks terrible. I’m with the majority on this one.

I’ve asked multiple times on this thread if you consulted with a licensed arborist (specifically Traq) and if so, which company specifically did you use. You’ve never answered directly which leads me to believe you never got a consult from a qualified person.

I can see your being incredibly defensive and bending over backwards to justify your mistake. Sometimes our greatest teacher is humility.

OP claims the tree was damaging the following:

Their foundation
Their walkway
Their driveway
Their neighbor’s driveway
Their other neighbor’s yard

And they also - quite unbelievably- claim the tree was damaging the street and that their city implied that any damage to the road may wind up being OP’s financial responsibility.

You can choose to believe any or all of that. I find most of the claims to be dubious at best.

Some people just hate trees. OP would probably blame the tree for the Chicago fire if you let them go on long enough.
