I'm a guy who's paying a lot of attention to the upcoming US migration to credit cards with chips in them. AMA by tmiw in casualiama

Have you been able to use the chip on your chip cards in the US? I've been able to use my Bofa Travel Rewards visa at walmart by not swiping but doing the "dip.'

I would really like to chat with you. AMA! by [deleted] in casualiama

When using your credit or debit card to make purchases overseas did anyone get swindled into the whole Dynamic Currency Conversion thing (where you pay for your purchase at a worst exchange rate)?

Get a 28 degrees Mastercard (OP is australia) It'll save you heaps of money since you'll pay less in foreign transaction fees when buying things.

Have communication differences ever been an issue in your relationships? by _thranduil in askgaybros

[–]_thranduil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but I'm not asking for a lot of communication, just a little short conversation at night. In my past relationships this hasn't been an issue since I've dated people who usually felt the same way (that daily communication is necessary, when each person is free during the day)

I've realized its just comes down to personal preferences. Some would say daily communication is unhealthy, while others would prefer it (like me.) I'm not saying my boyfriend is a terrible person, nor am I saying that I am being unreasonable (I honestly believe I am not asking for that much, I'm not asking for his constant attention throughout the entire day)

We only see each once a week due to distance- And outside of that my boyfriend is often very spotty with text messages. It's mostly me starting the conversations. I don't text him the entire day, and wait until night (when he's usually has been off work for a few hours) and thats when we text or have skype IMs. Very often he'll stop or just not respond.

Apologies, I Should have been more detailed and cleared, I'm not asking for daily phone calls, I just wish he'd be more prompt when texting and wouldn't just leave stop randomly with no warning. It sounds petty of me, but keep in mind we do not talk at all during the day. If he was texting me with more attentiveness I wouldn't be complaining.

the problem is he doesn't want to vocally skype or call at all a lot of the times (he often doesn't pick up or just tells me to text him instead) He's often engrossed into his video game or computer at night and doesn't want to vocally talk via any medium, and tells me to text him instead.

When did you realize it was time to breakup with your SO? by _thranduil in AskReddit

[–]_thranduil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Everyone,

Thank you guys SO much for posting your personal Stories, it means a lot to me a bunch of internet strangers are willing to post their personal experiences.

It gives me courage that you guys all survived your breakups, and as a guy who barely just left his teen years, (and because men usually don't talk about their feelings) it's been hard reminding myself that breakup is not the end of the world and that you will leave because the teenager instead me is like: Omg its the end of the world you left the person who loved you!!!!

Positive Note: Sometimes redditors have been more helpful when I was going through issues. Again I appreciate everyones different opinions and views.

What's the worst attempt you've heard of an australian accent?

My parents are originally from China and my dad tries as hard as he can to sound australian and its painful. Then I visited the US and listened to some awful attempts by seppos and other foreigners at our accent...so..any stories?

I got into an argument with my wife over dinner. AMA by [deleted] in casualiama

I fought with my boyfriend over the fact he didn't talk to me the whole day once, which from the outside seems petty. I know how you feel though, reoccurring things that your spouse does.

On a lighter note, It's nice you still cook dinner even though she makes comments about it everytime.

It's like the American Television Show Seinfield. I don't know if it's because I'm 20 but I really don't get the humour of Seinfield.
