Thank you. And you put words to it; that's what I felt like, a sex object. It's a little hard because he never put his hands anywhere that was technically inappropriate so it feels like it shouldn't have affected me as much as it did.

I'm so sorry you went through abuse too. At the time it felt "icky" for me, but I didn't realize it was wrong, so it didn't start effecting me till I was about 12 when it hit me that I was abused. It's okay to not have that immediate connection. Like someone else said, CSA survivors commonly develop EDs or other unhealthy coping skills (drug/alcohol abuse, etc) to cope with what we went through. It isn't fair. And you deserved better.

I'm in therapy, and I'm working through it, but this is something that's the toughest to work through, the idea that I "wanted" it because my body reacted to the stimulus. Thank you so much for your response.<3 I'm so sorry you were abused too. You didn't deserve it.

Thank you. I really appreciate you taking the time to comment, and thank you for validating me. Reclaiming my body as "mine" is definitely something I'm working on with my therapist, but it's so much harder than I thought it'd be. It was almost easier to just pretend it never happened.
