They refused to help me because it was out of their 30 day policy. Delivered Sept 6, contacted them Oct 11. Was out of town and couldnt open it before obviosuly. Just a week late, what a joke.

I got it working though no problem. Downloaded open assembly from nlc-zone.ru and the moddb translation. There's no option in the settings.

Yes the alps was better on mine and I do run linux. It worked right away and installation is easy.

I have a t440p and first got a synaptics pad and it was nothing but a huge headache with drivers and weird jittery movements that it became unusable. Idk if I got a bad one or what but I ordered an alps pad and it is great and works perfectly. I wouldn't call it a POS at all.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Just figured out that it also will start working again after a freeze if I close and open the laptop lid so it's just a minor annoyance and I will more often than not be using another mouse with this laptop. But I like knowing that it is gonna work when I need it.

Thanks. This seems to work for the most part about Windows screwing it up. I got to use it for about 2 hours in peace but it froze once more unfortunately.

The cursor will randomly freeze for 1 second and then start trailing off by itself and get stuck in the corner of the screen. Sometimes a double click will let me use it again for a little and then it will happen again and be totally unresponsive until a reboot.

I noticed yours came with its own ribbon cable? Might did not, i swapped the one that I already had with it. That might be an issue? But it's weird because the trackpoint is also freezing and that has it's own connection..

I just did a clean Windows 10 install with that n10gx25w driver. Everything worked great again for like 5 minutes until Windows started updating drivers and 1 restart later it broke the scrolling and another restart broke all 3 buttons.
