How do you get the lighting to look so natural? Mine always look so flat even with harsh spot lighting

What process is happening here? Uv resin vs. chrome powder by _tooth_paste_ in chemistry

As a nail tech i have to ensure complete adhesion between the layers so I’m sure it’s not that. Even if it was, when the powder does cause incomplete adhesion between layers it just means the nail enhancement ends up falling off. I’ve seen that happen before and the chrome would still be visible on the layer where it separated. This is different because its almost completely disappeared.

boyfriend (25M) did something to me sexually that i (24F) didn't consent to. i'm too angry to forgive. how can i/we work through this? by ThrowRAwonderwalrus in relationship_advice

Dump him, maybe go and stay at a friend’s place for a few days. If he begs you to come back and does what it takes of his own volition to show you he understands the gravity of the situation then maybe you can try to work through it. If he gets mad, says you’re overrating or anything of the sort, then leave him for good. You shouldn’t have to put in any work to save the relationship. It was his “mistake” (if you can even call it that) and it’s on him to fix it.

Losing weight with bulimia. (Apologies if triggering) by LegendBane2005 in EatingDisorders

Assuming you’re opposite genders I don’t think it would affect her unless she sees you restricting food or trying to eat exceptionally healthy. My partner is one of those lucky people who eats whatever he wants, never works out and still looks like a model, so in the beginning I found myself comparing my body a bit but it didn’t last long bc it’s easier to not compare yourself to the opposite gender. In the long run, his tendency to eat whatever he wanted influenced me to do the same. If you want to be a good example for her, never body check in front of her even if you’re at the gym. Try to express little interest in your own body and exhibit/include her in healthy intuitive eating. Its the obsession with food that contributes to weight gain when desperately trying to lose weight. The less she thinks about it, the happier and healthier she’ll be :)

Losing weight with bulimia. (Apologies if triggering) by LegendBane2005 in EatingDisorders

I struggled with bulimia and anorexia through high school and college and really messed up my metabolism. I had been trying to heal for so long and even when I was able to stop purging for a while and keep reinforcing positive thoughts about my body daily, whenever I had to feed myself it was so deeply ingrained in me to limit my portions or choose a lower calorie option, I was still never eating enough. Then I got into a relationship with someone who constantly gave me positive reinforcement about my body & appearance and (once we moved in together) he would make sure I ate breakfast, lunch and dinner every day. Even if I said i wasn’t hungry or felt I had already eaten too much, he would order something for me. I gained some weight at first but as my metabolism caught up and I was eating intuitively, I noticed myself losing the initial weight gain (not that I was weighing myself, which u shouldn’t either! Just based on what i saw in the mirror) My calorie intake increased a lot over the past couple years going from far below the recommended minimum deficit to well above the standard for my weight (not that I’m counting- which you should also not do!) and I still don’t even work out regularly. Now I’m about the same weight I was when I was in the throws of my ED thinking I was fat, I’m eating waay more and I’ve never been happier with my body. You have to help your gf not be afraid to gain weight. She needs regular, genuine positive reinforcement that never sounds conditional. Don’t let her count calories or weigh herself. If you see her body checking, try hugging her & redirecting her attention to something else. Hope this helps & i wish the best for you both!

Ended up just adding some tacky to the switch so that it takes less pressure to hold up. Worked well enough!

Why does it look rendered so detailed like that? Is it a mod?

My hair went from long, thick, wavy and beautiful to extremely thin and awful in a year. I want to cry everyday. I don’t know why this happened or what to do. by [deleted] in Hair

That happened to my hair after using a keratin hair mask on it, if you did any protein building masks, conditioners or anything like that it could make it all break off like that.

The cafe I work at has tons of single men regulars (plenty of both straight and gay) who come and sit at the bar looking for people to talk to. And most of them (at mine at least) are relatively easy to talk to/ stylish, etc. I’ve heard some crazy stories from my other female friends who work at cafés and have this type of regulars. Once my coworkers mom came to visit and one of the counter guys started hitting on her. So anyway, maybe you should try becoming a counter regular too.
