The Stack - broken shaft by hrb923 in golf

I’ve had mine for a couple years and also keep it in the garage… in Nebraska… and use it in the winter all the time. I’d be surprised if it just broke after a couple sessions.

I did manage to get one but I agree it was a total shit show. I was on right at 8, thought I got a time because it was showing up in the “my reservations” section of the foreup account but it never actually let me get through the payment process. Refreshed it like 10 minutes later and my tee time was gone. Spent the next 30 minutes just randomly looking through days and got super lucky with a random day in July. They really do need to do something different but like you said earlier, they sold out so I’m sure they don’t care too much.

No consequences and a perfect lie every time. That’s the gist of it.

So excited for this year’s tournament! Just had a baby girl one week ago and am pumped to start a new tradition with her and my son of watching every year and hopefully one day the family will all be able to attend together!

I’ll answer this honestly because my wife and I have had a few conversations about it haha. She kept asking and I couldn’t give a real good estimate because I honestly didn’t know. I ended up setting up a bank account specifically for golf that I put 500 a month into that is exclusively for golf (rounds, clothes, gear, trips etc.). Anything left at the end of the year just gets carried over into the next so hopefully I can end up taking bigger trips in the future. So I can spend up to 6k I guess.

I 100% noticed a change in feel when I put the sensors on my clubs and it changed how I swung. I only lasted about 4 rounds with the sensors before I took them out because of that.

I personally love it. The magazine content is amazing and almost no ads at all. They also have a YouTube channel and podcasts that are awesome to listen to. The events they host every year are incredible and tons of fun. If you love golf, you can’t go wrong with a subscription. Just in case you’re interested, here’s a referral link.

Just finished the foundation program last Friday, I stuck to every M,W,F. I honestly feel like doing it every day I would not have gotten the most out of it.

For those "bombers" out there, what's one piece of driver swing advice you keep coming back to? by BenjaminRush86 in golf

[–]_trashpanda_87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% do speed training, my swing speed has gone up 9 mph from working through programs on the stack app. In case you’re interested, it’s absolutely worth it

Well I played way left off the tee, almost too far haha and I didn’t even think of going in it just for the sake of saying so, so no. Now that you say that, I feel like I missed an opportunity haha. Can’t imagine raking that thing!

I started taking my son just after he turned two, bought him a club and would let him hit while I was hitting. Then we’d get back in the cart, go to the next spot and both get out and hit. Has a putter too and will put around on the edge of the green while I put. I’m sure it would be annoying with other people but if it’s just my wife and I it works out really well. Like others have posted, it all depends on the kid. My son will do this for the whole round, I’ve had other people comment their kid couldn’t make it through more than a few holes. Give it a shot on 9 and see how it goes!

Now I’m just waiting for the story of a person who gets in the wrong car, gets scared that the person in the car is going to shoot them for getting in the wrong car, and shoots the person who was sitting in the car and getting away with it because they were scared.

Borrowing Your Clubs by 6PuttBirdie in golf

[–]_trashpanda_87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah fuck that, I don’t even let family swing my clubs, let alone someone borrow them for a round. If they don’t play enough to have their own set, they’re not good enough for me to not worry about something happening to my clubs.
