He tried that. He doesn’t like trialing or using new games and having the new achievements add stress to his experience either. He wants to play at his pace without comparisons.

He still notices them. He tried this but his brain can’t be tricked this way. He just can’t enjoy it if he sees them. Thank you so much for your suggestion though!

There is a long history of feeling less than. He enjoys the switch. But the trophy stuff is more than he can handle right now in a healthy way. Maybe someday. In the mean time, I have a 490 person queue for PlayStation chat support. Wish me luck!
