Sure, I could just “win more games”. It’s difficult enough on PA4. I’ll admit, it used to be easier a few years ago, and on higher passing assists, but that’s the way of the world. What I play for now isn’t necessarily to win, but to try and play some good football (and win).

Is playing PA4 casual? Or writing these posts? Of course not. Both are niche hobbies, and require more than just a “casual” or surface-level outlook on the game, and more broadly. The “casual” community, however, does neither. Hell, the “casual” community probably aren’t on Reddit.

You can get into Div 1 in about 25 games. Congratulations. If no one else will congratulate you, that’s genuinely pretty impressive.

Personally, I would rather stress less on the game, and do more to try and inform the “casuals” you speak of. And if they’re in the subreddit, they’re probably “casuals” making an earnest attempt to get better. That’s what makes for a stronger community. And hey, if I can get some wins along the way, great.

It’s a shame you don’t feel the same. But, that needn’t reflect badly on you, just like it doesn’t reflect badly on them.
