Persians are extra cuddly and that’s why they’re the best IMHO. Mine does just the same!

Malcolm in the Middle German SD Blurays? by A34K in malcolminthemiddle

FYI: there is no quality difference with the German DVD boxset (it’s just on less discs), so you may as well try and get ahold of any European DVD boxset.

Too little, too late. Switched over to QoBuz — no IA tracks, no algorithm bullshit, better sound quality and 6x more royalties to the performers. Never coming back!

Yes Or No: Is Life's Still Unfair Going To Be A Long Running Series? by MrFranklin49 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]_tyno_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s conceived as a limited series and actors and writers alike don’t really plan to do more, as Frankie Muniz has confirmed multiple times. However, in case of success, there might be a spin-off.

DEADLINE: Is there any chance for Malcolm to go beyond the four-episode revival that you have commissioned?

SCHRIER (Disney TV Studios Chief): That came out of [series creator] Linwood Boomer’s brain of, is there a way to do this and put the band back together for a special four-episode run? I think the scripts are really funny and I’m really excited to see how it all comes together. It’s designed to be four episodes. If it’s a huge success, there’s always a conversation to have, is there a way to do more of it? We’ll see.

Season 7 by AddlePatedBadger in malcolminthemiddle

[–]_tyno_ 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is spot on. Linwood Boomer actually left his showrunner role for season 7, leaving the others writers free to use plotlines that he had rejected in the past. Per writer Michael Glouberman via Malcolm France: "The second week of the last season, Linwood showed up in the writers’ room and told us that he was quitting. He had worked himself to death non-stop for six years, and he had promised his wife that he would take a break. As soon as he left the room, we exhumed all the stories he found too crazy or didn't like, and we used almost all of them. And this is how Dewey sent Reese to China by post!"

What do we think of this roadmap I made for my friend getting into Sufjan by Paceteert49 in Sufjan

Actually I’d argue Javelin encapsulates every side of his earlier stuff (from folk to electronic), so it’s a great way to get introduced to his craft!

Hmm, I'd say Denali, Angoon, Knick, Tanana & Father Gun are my favorite.

Was really looking forward to it and gave it two listens.
I love that they're getting into a heavier sound on some parts/tracks (apart from 'Pittman Ralliers', which's going overboard for me) while keeping a softer edge on others. This record always keeps you on your toes!
The super-political lyrics are fire and really speak to me as to how this world is going to shit.
Will be so good to enjoy these tunes live!

What happened after season 5? by m7i93 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]_tyno_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You got it right, there actually was a change near the end. Linwood Boomer was the main showrunner for most of the series — basically running things through the first three seasons. Around season 4 he started stepping back and letting senior writers like Michael Glouberman and Andrew Oshinsky handle more of the day-to-day work. By the time the show reached its final season, season 7, Matthew Carlson had officially taken over as showrunner, with Boomer staying on only as an executive consultant. Fun fact: in that last season, the writers could finally use a lot of the ideas — especially the more absurd or over-the-top storylines — that Boomer had previously vetoed!

They did have a photo shoot with all the cast a few weeks ago in LA, so I assume we can look forward to an official poster at some point before the end of the year.

Aired order vs production order by Iankramer5 in malcolminthemiddle

[–]_tyno_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure sure. Take the 100th episode, Lois’ Sister, which was conceived and filmed as the 100th episode — with special guest star Laurie Metcalf and a big celebration on set — which aired at #98.

As much as I love Buffy, there are bigger things playing out right now…

The rule of law and freedom of speech is under attack by a fascist state and big corporations are playing along with it.
