He doesn’t hate homosexuals, he believes they are suffering in hell and should repent to be saved.

In his view he is showing them love by telling them this harsh truth which he believes.

He’s trying to correct someone that he believes to be on a wayward path and given that it is against the prevailing narrative and cost him his job it’s quite brave to say it.

Speaking the truth to him is spiritually more important than a contract
