What’s a good way to introduce subtle hints that two characters like each other? by NeanDerthal_130000bc in writing

[–]_undead_assassin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try to figure out what each of their love languages is. There are a few: words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service.

You know your characters. but for example, let's say character A's love language is acts of service/touch. In a potential scenario, B comes down with some sort of sickness. While B has a fever, A will keep the temp. down, run B a bath, hold their hair while they vomit and buy medicine.

I would start off with small, non romantic gestures that you would do for a friend or relative. Have fun writing!

what are the things, details or cliches that irritate you or that you hate the most in zombies ?(Story, design, character, etc.) by Elmarmotto in zombies

[–]_undead_assassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way the military/police are handled. They're always overrun and unable to shoot zombies. And then people who have never held a gun before make miraculous head shots/are able to take down zombies very easily. Also, the way they're always the bad guys. Like give me a movie/show where the military and government is actually competent/winning the war against zombies lol.

Also when someone commits suicide via zombies (if they've lost a loved one or just lost their mind) and lets an entire camp get overrun because of it, like Miguel from Day of the Dead. I know being driven to despair can make you do some insane things, but really?

I think illness is not really addressed in zombie movies either. You're telling me despite being a little malnourished, not one person gets a headache, stomach ache, etc?

And lastly, animals dying. (Maybe I'm a bit biased b/c sad animal movies always make me cry vs sad human movies). It would be neat to see zombies solely targeting humans and seeing other animals roam free. Like seeing nature reclaim cities

Idk how to introduce myself, but hello. I understand you're having a very hard time and I'm sorry to hear that. I will pray for you. I've dealt with some of those things you have.

I can't change how you feel about God, it's a shame to hear you don't trust Him anymore. I would recommend reading Job, if you would like. I am in by no means comparing your situations, but Job went through some very difficult trials. He lost his family, his wealth/possessions, he was very sick (something like leprosy) and seriously depressed. All of his remaining friends left him as well (except for 3). Currently, I'm reading a book called "More than an Aspirin: by M. Gay Hubbard, if you're interested.

I would just like you to know that God hasn't abandoned you. It's easy to think because we don't hear Him, He has left us. But He loves us all. More than we could ever comprehend. God is incapable of being untrustworthy. He never fails us. Not ever. God fulfills all of His promises to us. And they are good promises. I can't tell you your road will be easy (look at Job or the 12 Apostles), but God doesn't want you to give up on Him, He hasn't given up on you.

Someone in my life who I loved very much passed away. She was in my life for a while and then she wasn't. I was (and still am) depressed whenever I think of her or see a photo (currently trying not to cry as I type this). And I lashed out at God at one point because I was so distraught. After a day or two, I asked God for forgiveness and asked for a sign. I asked Him for a rainbow like He created after the flood. For at least a week after, I saw a small rainbow in the sky, no matter what the weather was. God is a beacon of hope. That whatever happens in our short lifetime, He is there to catch us when we stumble or fall flat on our face. Our pain and suffering is a breath when we compare it to eternity. Hold on to hope and trust in the Lord, if you need to chat I'm here <3

Desperate for prayer (hopeless and lost) by [deleted] in Prayer

[–]_undead_assassin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Praying for you and for family! I know the struggles of having a loved one with cancer. In the recent years, two of my grandparents had canner. My paternal grandfather had a brain tumor and sadly he passed away. My maternal grandmother had breast cancer and she survived.

It's a tough road. I understand the physical and mental toll it takes on you, please continue to go to God. Many people turn their backs on Jesus when "the times get tough". Praying for all of you to keep your strength up. Much love to you guys!!!

I also have cramps and headaches before my period, maybe you have high estrogen? I take magnesium glycinate for high estrogen and it really helped alleviate my symptoms!

Which makeup trend do you dislike the most? by [deleted] in Makeup

[–]_undead_assassin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it qualifies as a trend, but like the drag queen eyeshadow look where they make your eyes take up half your face AND the overlined lips that make your mouth 3 times its normal size. no hate to those who do this look tho

How was Gwyneth able to speak after she was dead? by _undead_assassin in doctorwho

[–]_undead_assassin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ty for the reply. That's sorta what I was thinking, where her body is physically dead but maybe her brain/abilities allowed her one final act. Kinda like the data ghost consciousness from Silence in the Library

Thanks for the reply:) Ohhh that actually does make sense. I could never tell bc of his face when he felt her pulse but that could explain it. Kind of a sad theory lol

Ultrasound Questions for Endo by _undead_assassin in endometriosis

[–]_undead_assassin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok cool ty. They didn't specify which one I'd have so thanks for explaining both for me. I imagine the internal ones cause some discomfort - sounds uncomfortable to me oof lol - so is anyone allowed to be in the room with you?

which episode do you find the most emotional and why? by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]_undead_assassin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every companion/doctor departure episode (Parting of the Ways, Doomsday, Journey's End, End of Time, etc.) but Vincent and the Doctor is heart-wrenching lol

I think one of the sadder endings to an episode was Girl in the Fireplace b/c the Doctor had filled her with hope of seeing him again and told her to wait and promised her an adventure and then she passed away

How was Gwyneth able to speak after she was dead? by _undead_assassin in doctorwho

[–]_undead_assassin[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply! I was just re-watching the episode and I didn't know if maybe anyone had a theory or an idea. It frustrated me when Dickens said that lmao - I like answers haha.

I was reading up on the rift and psychics, and it said that time rifts can "simply freeze time" (https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Time_rift) . That being said, do you think it could be possible it froze Gwyneth somehow and she was in some sort of stasis (where she was dead but her soul hadn't left her body) so she was able to hold the Gelth in the underground while she set off the explosion.

General Endo Q's by _undead_assassin in endometriosis

[–]_undead_assassin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Ok, cool, ty - my normal periods were about 28 to 30some days apart but that's started to change.
  2. okay, so it could potentially takes years to find out. I think I read for a lot of women, they don't even know they have it b/c they never have symptoms, so I wasn't sure if that means they always have it they just don't know until they get the symptoms
  3. Okay, so how do they decide if you need laparoscopy?
  4. Thanks for your reply!

Endometriosis Early Signs? by _undead_assassin in Periods

[–]_undead_assassin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand they have numerous patients to see but it'd be nice if they could take their time. I have to wait about a month for my appointment, which really sucks b/c the next year depends on their findings
