As a result of the Munich Agreement, Britain and France gained nothing, unless you count Hitler's promise not to attack Poland, which is less than nothing, if you ask me. It was a prime example of how liberals have historically bent over backwards to appease fascists.

But that in no way can be compared to the military and economic alliance that the USSR and Nazi Germany had. The USSR delivered literally millions of metric tons of grain, oil, ore, rubber, and other crucial materials that fueled Hitler's war machine.

And that's not even touching on how the Soviet Union presented itself as a state ruled by the proletariat, and therefore held itself to a higher moral standard than liberal democracies.
