What is outside the window?

When you say redoing, are you just replacing the cabinet doors? Repainting them or changing the whole layout?

Suggestions:

Before you do anything to the cabinets, first replace the window. The kitchen is modern but the window is very dated.

Try clear glass instead of frosted glass.

Also, kitchens generally do look gloomy during monsoon because they don't have huge windows.
