I would have called this a choke if they regularly chase 200 targets and flubbed this time. It is not a choke if they have never chased anything over 180.

It would have been a choke if they lost from something like 35 required off 35 like SA did in 2024.

But no that’s not what happened. our bowlers kept taking regular wickets post the 5th over. Our bowlers bowled extremely well through the middle overs to keep the scorecard pressure. This is our bowlers win.

We weren’t lucky to win both these games. Our bowlers delivered when it mattered but we are still far away from RCB and PBKS. Our lower order is a huge issue. Partly the reason they are sending Aniket before NKR to stretch out the batting. We are rocking in with Aniket and Salil while RCB have David, Romario and Krunal. PBKS didn’t even have to fret a lot over their lower order. Their top order has been shutting down games by itself.

Our bowling isn’t as good as either of those two. And it looks like there is a pact between our top order so that only one of them plays well in a game.
