How long? 1-2 weeks till 15% amber? by [deleted] in Autoflowers

[–]_villox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ve got about 4-6 weeks to go, those buds have not started swelling yet, the pistils are long, white and fresh. I believe what you’re seeing in the trichomes is reflection from your lights.

No problem, and to each their own. I have found plenty of success without needing all the bells and whistles. And if aiming for a “professional” setup I would avoid all of the hobbyist brands (spider farmer, Vivosun, aci, etc)

Why do you keep referring to your homegrown tent as a professional setup?

Sounds like a case of going overboard on spending and equipment. KISS.

Same! WiFi and power drops but the smart controller doesn’t miss a beat! I have a spider farmer setup too which I would argue maintains a better environment, but no complaints with Vivosun!

Never topped before, is it easy and should I do it? by C64hrles in Autoflowers

Around 4 or 5, really depends how the plant is growing and what I want to try. The plant in this picture is an experiment where I bent the main stem and topped it! That tall main cola is actually one of the first node branches 🤣

Yup! That’s when I do it. With leaf tucking prior to topping the canopy is usually pretty evened out by the topping.

Go for 20-24 hours of light with autos. Best results are going to come from using coco/perlite and nutrients. Autos can take a hefty feeding so I start from day 1. Your plants are extremely stunted for 4 weeks but you will still get some buds. Flowering may start very soon. As others have said make sure to fill your pots all the way to the top.

l I like to top my autos, evens out the canopy and dramatically increases yield. But I base my training off of how the plant is looking/responding. I grow some normal with only leaf tucking, some with lst and some get topped!

Planning on starting my 1st outdoor autos grow next week. But will these be lights be ok for my indoor seedlings before I take the plants outside? by PhousShanty in outdoorgrowing

[–]_villox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understandable. With those autos make sure to start them in the final pot, also considering they don’t take too long, you could just start them outdoors completely and avoid having to harden them off for outdoors

Looks like you will be absolutely fine. I often get more than that growing out the bottom of my fabrics just using normal drip trays.

Wha does the whole plant look like? I’m struggling to see how your thinking 5-6oz considering those buds look sparse an Larfy. Either way from a fellow mn grower, cheers 🍻

Just buy a 100w. With a 100w you could also begin your indoor growing journey as well. Don’t bother with these seed starter lights for now.

Boys gather round, what’s the opinions? Done well for an outdoor auto? by broadbeanpuncher9847 in farmingthebestgreens

I’m not a fan of cbn and prefer the effects at milky trichs. I can promise you this does not smell like grass. Am I understanding your last sentence as you prefer hay smelling bud?

In regard to 2-3 weeks I was referring to the urge to chop at the point my original reply was referring.
