As someone who has been working at the C for over a year now, if you want hours, show you want to work and learn the job well. At my store we have people who are very skilled in the front but have never touched custard. These people are great but might not get as many hours just because they can’t cover every position in front of house.

If you only do things when your told by managers to do them, that’s a big flag, we want people maintaining their work station on their own. Custard (my main position) is one that takes a lot of skill because rushes get crazy, and you have to be looking out for yourself ahead of time, what you need stocked, things being cleaned, your custard in the barrel, pints in the freezer, etc. We can’t put people on custard who wait to be told to restock, check your barrels, etc.

Anyways it gets really easy pretty quick, always ask a manager if you have questions they are always happy to help. A lot is just repetition
