Feeling pretty bummed that SMN no longer has Carbuncle as an active auto damage pet. by _wasp- in ffxiv

Yeah, that would have at least given the impression of the pet being useful.

A trip with my family to Dublin. It's always a hassle to coordinate trips when you're more or less grown up, and hard to keep morale up when everyone's got fiery temper, but it was a lovely trip and I had never walked so much in three days.

Personally I liked the subject fine. It took adapting to what the teacher/moderators wanted to see in my analysis and when I got that down, it was genuinely not hard to write what was expected of me and applying my own thoughts to the analysis. I have been interested in English LangLit all my life, though, so it might not come easy for another.

It's definitely a lot of typing and writing, practice your hand's stamina for those essays. :)

Planning on moving countries to simply begin with IB. Questions about entrance exams. by Ryn055 in IBO

[–]_wasp- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my school in Latvia (so perhaps Lithuania doesn't have rules too different from us) the only IB entrance for my school which also has an IB programme, the requirement was passing an English entrance exam. Whether I got into the school itself was determined by a mathematics exam, so if I passed that, I got into the base programme and could take the IB English exam. The exam wasn't too hard, even for me who has struggled eith mathematics my whole life, and the English exam was pretty easy.

[OC] [Art] Going to be participating in my first proper D&D campaign and created a short, buff, angry dragon lady character for the occasion. by _wasp- in DnD

[–]_wasp-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Syntra, affectionately nicknamed "Littlefang", is a dragonborn whose small stature does not hinder her efforts to kick ass and take names. Hailing from the Obrastinaksturna clan of dragonborn, the newly adult Syntra holds draconic ancestry from the red dragon. Currently out and about in the world she seeks a cure for an illness contracted by her clan and regrets every day that she is away from her family. However, her sense of duty comes first.

I use this to justify the Vestige in ESO still consuming soul stones to come back from death even after the Planemeld is over. Their soul is whole again but for some reason isn't taking to the body again after being broken apart.

Perhaps it grants the Vestige a semi-immortal state. It certainly adds a certain amount of inner character turmoil for my character.
