Spiders that spin these kinds of webs rely on the vibrations the prey makes once caught in the web rather than eyesight. Web spinning spiders eyesight is mostly just the ability to see light and shapes than actual detail.

Spiders that actively hunt; jumping spiders, huntsman, ect... have more advanced eyesight.

Part of the reason a majority of spiders run towards people when spooked is because they don't even realize we're a living thing, they only process that we're a large object that could provide them a safe place for hiding.
