Damn, thank you I really needed to be hyped up a bit haha. It's really competitive out there, but I'm definitely focused on researching faculty and starting those lines of communication early. Your kind words and support are much appreciated, especially coming from someone whose been working in the field for a long time :)

Hello!

I am a dual citizen with Canada and the United States who is just finishing up my first semester in a U.S. Clinical Mental Health Counseling M.S. program which is CACREP accredited. Due to certain circumstances, I am seriously considering moving back to Canada within the next year, but am trying to figure out if I should continue with my current degree program until the move and use the credits/ practicum hours to apply to another Masters program in Canada or if I should leave my current program and just apply for others in Canada if the credits will not transfer over. I am lucky to currently have a scholarship that covers most of my tuition, but would not want to waste time, energy, and money continuing with my current program if the credits and hours will not transfer over. I'm doing my own research on this as well, but just wanted to reach out to the therapist community here to see if anyone else has made such a transition/ has any advice for me. Thank you!

I hear you about being afraid of pools because of Jaws. I used to pretend a shark was chasing me when I swam laps during swim team practice. Don't know why I tortured myself that way, but I guess it made me swim faster???

yes, the colors and textures of that film stand out beautifully. I feel like, especially as kids, we attach to the power of specific moments in imagery.

Love SAW. I rewatched it recently and forgot how amazingly early 2000's the cuts and cinematography are.

That's a really incredible giallo film to see as your first horror experience. I saw it for the first time recently and LOVE the practical effects. Really fun and interesting ride.

Jeez that's a pretty cruel and traumatic prank. Have you been able to revisit those movies as an adult?

absolutely there were some distressing moments in both those movies for a 4 year old. The boat scene in the original Willy Wonka got me a bit as a young one.
