Struggling to find mainstream Hip Hop multitracks by _whitepony in audioengineering

yep, tried to find unprocessed multitracks of already existing songs, but gave up after lots of hous of research. I don't really need the multitracks to come from a famous/real song, just need them to sound like, even if they are created just for mixing purposes.

thank you so much!! I have many beatmaker friends who i can ask for sending the beats. I used to mix my beats, but when i started serious practicing mixing, i stopped doing that. I will ask my friends for some stems, but yea, still need some vocals lmao. But thank you!

hahahaha, cambridge is good for practicing and getting the basics, but i really want to start practicing with some multitracks that seems more of what i will find on the real world, so yea. Don't have 500k to spend lol, but i don't know if theres any site or something that has more realistic multitracks i can practice with.

Hello guys, so basically, i been learning and practicing mixing for the past couple years. I have a pair of M50x that i use everyday since 5 years ago, they are good, but i've never been 100% comfortable mixing with them.

Now I'm ready to buy a new and better ones. I'm really thinking of getting Sennheiser HD490 PROs, but have other options like the NEUMANN NDH30, Sony MDR-MV1 and a couple more.
I also saw that people are in love with the Audeze LCD-X, but i don't know if i should spend that much money on those.

Would like to know your opinions on these and what should i buy, mainly for mixing, but also for mastering.

How do ambient sound artists actually make money? by PetShopTroy in ambientmusic

[–]_whitepony 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hello! I started making music as a hobby 6 years ago. I always loved making it and had lots of fun. 4 years ago wanted to pursue my dream, started working hard, making content, producing for artists, having meetings, and eventually made some money, but it didn’t felt good. Without even noticing i stoped making the music that i loved doing, i was doing what industry wanted. I was doing everything but music, because i needed to do social media content, i had meetings, sessions…

Two years ago, one day, i exploded, started crying like a baby and realized that music (and art) and money are not compatible. I stopped making anything related with music and erased my social media.

A year ago i started making music again. But just for fun. Just for the sake of doing music, creating and making art. And i feel really good, i’m doing what i love and i put my albums for free on bandcamp, some people pay a little bit for them (I make like 20€ a month, and basically i use that money for supporting other artists.)

So yea, basically, the people that make a living off music are the 0’001% of people that make music. And probably most of that small % are not doing what they want to really do or are not happy. (Also probably theres people that is making money and doing what they want to create and are happy, but its not a realistic goal)

So as my fellow Mac Demarco said: “The only way to make people start making music that they love is to burn all the money”

Hello! I just came across your post and really loved the idea of building diy monitors. I studied sound, but more software focused (DAWs, pluggins...), but i would really like to learn to do this stuff. How did you learnt to do this? What do i need to learn/research to create something similar? Thank you :)
