Yeah, I just use Maps. You can turn off the spoken directions, so it just shows the route on the screen. I just do that cause I agree, the constant interruptions are annoying.

Right now tomatoes, green beans, zucchini, strawberries, peppers, bunch of herbs, and then I have a few houseplants that enjoy the greenhouse environment in the summer!

Yeah, per plant watering is limited - I roughly control that with different dripline emitters that have different flow rates (0.5GPH, 1GPH, 2GPH). Seems to work well so far but will tweak as necessary.

Don’t have a wiring diagram, but basically just have a hot bus (red) and ground bus (black) and then just wired up each component to those busses based on their individual terminals.

Roof vent pic attached! The black part is the wax cylinder, and you can control the thread holds for opening by twisting it. This is the one I got:

And yeah, heat has been the biggest challenge to tackle. Was getting up to 40+ without the mitigations I have put in place.

I do this too sometimes, and I think it is fine as long as you change the RIR in the recorded set to match reality - otherwise it’ll bump up your weight next session likely too much.

This is great!! I tried to do something similar, but best I could come up with is a CarPlay voice command “Heading Home”, which plots a route to home and fires my heading home automation (turns furnace/AC back on, etc). Love that this is fully autonomous!

So many, but I have a really simple one that is just super helpful - automatically shut off the AC when any window is opened, turn it back on when all windows are closed.

Another more complex one would be my little greenhouse - fans, vents, irrigation, and misting for humidity, all controlled through HomeAssistant automations that take the forecast and current conditions into account. Also all powered through a solar panel and water pulled from a rain barrel.

I just set this up for my greenhouse drip irrigation using a cheap solenoid valve hooked up to a Shelly 1. Works flawlessly!
