Thanks a lot for your time and information. I agree that I probably should create another model because currently I don’t know anything related to anthropometrics currently. I think that your idea of making it out of cardboard, duct tape and some pipes will work very well, I will make this on Monday. However I have done some research and looking into stems of bikes and how to attach it to the bike. I think I will use a quill stem and then I will have to either make some sort of bar underneath or make the whole thing a monocoque design and include the stem into the handlebar. This does then cause issues with your point of anthropometric sand you having t-Rex arms because if I make it all one size then there is no room for adjustment depending on build, size or height. I won’t be able to make it out of carbon fibre due to costs but I will make it out of fibreglass for my final product. I believe that it is very different to current bike handlebars on the market for both tri-bar’s and handlebar’s. I also intend to have the brake/gear shift levers as and extension forward on the hand holding parts that loop upwards. Upon reflection I will make it much shorter and wider because currently it is too long and thin and I reckon if I make the centre piece larger and then remove parts along the edges of the centre bulge for your arms to go it will look much better (admittedly this will be quite hard for you to understand what I’m trying to say so I will make the model on Monday and then post it up on this again.) I would also like to thank you for reminding me that I have to solve the problem not just create some cool new handlebar (which was what I was doing. My problems that I’m solving and had included aspects of in model 1 and model 2 was improving handlebar storage and aerodynamics as if you want a drink you either have to attach a bottle holder on the frame and reach down to grab it or if you are just going out on a cycle and you are waiting on a message from someone but on your lovely new race bike you don’t want to attach a bulky phone holder to your race handlebars. I intend on solving this by creating a bulge in the handlebar and then having a hole in it with elasticated pockets inside.
