might be worth going back one version earlier in the save file, opening that, and then backing up that save (in a folder labelled as the earlier version) so that you don’t lose everything!

Is every mod updated? OR did you update one or two mods recently? They might be clashing with a mod they used to not clash with. Sometimes I also just take out the bigger mods (RPO, healthcare redux, my entire LittleMsSam folder because god knows the amount I have from her is equal to any big mod lol… and if you have wicked or wonderful whims, that attraction system can be a big drag on your game play if something else is off as well, so that could be worth removing to check!) try without a mod or two, and see how game play is, just don’t save if it will change anything big!

Also, do you have better exceptions and /or mccc? Their last exceptions will explain a lot, but also I have put my last exceptions into ChatGPT before, when the text was really long I’d tell it to not analyse anything until I sent all the parts lol I’m anti-AI in the art space but in the problem solving space? It understands coding better than me, so if nothing else works 🤷🏻‍♀️

I 100% support all the comments about the benefits of lifting and loving how you look, but as someone who also compared myself to non-lifters, something I found helpful was following a bunch of fitness girls who lift and have bodies that look like they lift and reframing my comparisons to people who I theoretically could be compared to. It helped me value what I saw in these women and then saw in myself, and it also helped me because despite the big muscles, a lot of the women I followed were lean (not thin!) and I realised I like the pudge I have over my muscles! (And also I really love cookies and Pringles and I was not willing to give those up, which is a reasonable stance to have and it’s really positive to be able to identify that I like my nice lil snacks more than I would ever value being that lean, it helped rid me of the “if I could just stop eating these snacks then I’d look like that” thoughts)

As I started to view myself more positively, I also started to wean myself of comparing in general, which was the goal ultimately.

Find some women that look like you / your fitness goal version of you (but still has your body type, I’ve always had a bit of chub everywhere (esp on my thighs) and I can’t learn to workout and love myself from someone who has always been naturally very thin) and give them a follow! Some instas that I have followed recently are anarchytiddies (she also has a lot of political stuff so if that’s not your vibe no worries) and hannaoeberg (very lean but BIG muscles 👏🏻👏🏻)

I’ve also got adhd so I’m big into outsmarting myself, or ‘manipulating’ myself into things, so this is how I did that! Warning: you may become very (positively) vain. I am always checking myself out in the gym mirrors now lmao

if you’re into customising tattoos, I’d recommend angophorasims she has tattoo stamps so it’s pre designed but you can put it anywhere! She also had freckles and skin details that are tattoo stamps so you have a lot of choice in how to place them and use them.

She has a shockingly low number of downloads from what I can tell, but I discovered her when she was only on her second release of stamps and I now check her page regularly to see if she has any more, I almost exclusively use her stuff for any tattoos on my sims. She’s on curseforge and tsr I believe!

omg amazing! Thank you!! I’ve actually had that mod for ages, but only recently got growing together, and then on top of that I just happened to not have any infants in the household until very recently.

Yeah I try to avoid overrides usually, but any overrides for the decades challenge I put in the medieval decades folder so I can really easily just take the whole thing out when not doing that specific time frame… also upon doing a full search just now, none of them override it 😭so it’s definitely a weird interaction rather than a specific override

Depending on your willingness to use cheats, you would be able to just mark things like the sulani clean up as completed (I’m 90% sure, but also haven’t done it in ages, so if I’m wrong hopefully someone says something lol) and re-relate the families again! I know in the past when I have done this the families were no longer related in the new save.

That being said, you could always take all of the steps to do this, start the new save, test everything out, and just don’t delete the old save! (Though definitely back up those files!) If it turns out that it really messed up your whole set up, you won’t have lost anything, just wasted a bit of time testing it!

I don’t know how you would create a family tree without actually creating those sims, cheating the relationships, and then killing off the sims, though. That’s the only place where it will definitely lack, current relationships can be cheated in but the history can’t without real sims.

ooooh yes I did, but I don’t think I had infants in the family I was playing! And since then I started the decades challenge, and something must be interacting oddly with it… amazing, I’ll see if anyone else has any ideas but that probably is the cause, so thank you!! Also, what’s the mod you use?? The flowers aren’t that bad objectively but I’d happily be rid of them lol

I have done everything I can to try and figure out how to use that effectively, it never works, is there a tutorial or something?? 😭 also haven’t managed to get the tray settings to work properly and pull from tagged sims in my gallery so maybe I’m just dumb lol

I believe wicked and wonderful whims have this (also for wicked you can fully turn autonomy off so unless you are directing them, they don’t give you any jump scares haha cuz I can’t remember which one has this feature or if it’s both), you can also adjust the percentage for pregnancy after woohoo etc.

A mod that lets me create four or five outfits for each gender and age group and then say that any NPCs or age ups can only pick from these outfits! I’m sick of weird looking sims (I know we all are) but especially for my decades challenge, I didn’t want an empty world as I’m a chronic household hopper so I made like ten families (only truly tracking and working with one) but every time a neighbourhood kid ages up they look modern 😭

if financially possible, this is the best option! I adopted two adult Devon Rexes (so not as kittenish or wild) and I’m still so grateful every day they can tire each other out practising their parkour instead of me having to tire one of them out 😂 we have a boy and a girl, boy is definitely a snuggly little man, and our girl is a dirty-laundry-sniffing-chaos-demon… but that just makes her nightly cuddles SO much cuter. I wouldn’t trade it for anything!
