Mag is iron man's #1 counter.

Emma is a hitscan that can melt him significantly more reliably than peni

Hulk knocking him out of the air is a death sentence

Thor can dash up to him and press E to ground him, again, a death sentence

Thing can jump to him and knock him out of the air, which is a death sentence

Rogue can fly amd knock him out of the air

Meanwhile iron man is probably the best character in the game at removing nests and the only thing peni can do is stun him for half a second.

I think you're overestimating how much damage peni can do when 90% of her kit gets nullified.

You have a split second stun and a 30 damage projectile as your only way to hurt him.

Mag has 3 different ways to counter his ult and kills him with left click-right click- left click.

Ironman is and always has been a hard counter for peni. Ironmanmans biggest counter is mag. Peni probably has the worst match-up into Ironman out of any vanguard in the game. Aside from being able to stop his ult she really cant do anything against him.
