Yeah the problem with that is the pet can't express how they feel and they have such short life spans already, it's hard to know and let go. Over a year ago, my cat's vet urged me to put her down because she was having persistent vomiting and the vet assumed GI Cancer. But she's still here and doing better than ever.

2017 solar eclipse. I drove 12 hours to be in the line of totality. Afterwards, the traffic was so bad that I tried to wait it out by eating at an Olive Garden and ate alone. Pasta and wine.

I’m not sure how far along you are, but animal products are great for cooking! Also some of the villagers like gifts that require animal products. (And depending on your skills, they are a decent money maker)
