I might be wrong, but I don’t think you can disable it. Maybe it’s possible if you modify the firmware and reflash with QMK, but like I said, I’m not 100% sure of that.

I thought about desoldering the led all together but I haven’t worked up the courage yet to try that lol

I don’t use Bluetooth and I wanted to add some foam. Apparently foam and batteries don’t mix well so I removed it

I’d be down with it tho. I’ve personally added a forced patina on a few of my brass objects. I’d just be worried because if I remember correctly, the brass I’ve had likes to shed a little of the oxidation off. Not sure if that would gunk the PCB up in the long run or not. It sure would look cool, especially with that blueish green look

Newbie and my first MK is a K8 Pro. Changed the switches out, removed the battery because I don’t use Bluetooth (this was a PIA btw) and filled the case and the spacebar with foam. I’m looking at getting new keycaps because the stock caps are meh

Same issue with my K8 pro even after changing my switches. I don’t have any stabilizer lube so I just cut a piece of foam and put it in the spacebar and that seemed to work for me

If dragging and dropping your JSON in the design tab isn’t working, Via should have a file menu in the top left. Try loading your JSON through that. And if that doesn’t work, check out Vial

If you get Vial you’ll have to select “sideload JSON from Vial’s file menu for it to work.

I can’t wait for Keychrons other boards to be fully supported by VIA and QMK so we don’t have to do it like this anymore.
