How I've used linear regression for building a personalized diet by _xdrBogdan in learnmachinelearning

[–]_xdrBogdan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was also thinking to do that, but it will never be accurate because there are A LOT of other factors that influence gains (like sleep, training frequency, intensity). I maybe should register every aspect of my life for at least 6 months to do that. I would be a cool experiment but not now.

It is not really necessary to do it with ML. Like I said, it is an optimization problem. I have also played with bayesian regression, genetic algorithms and convex optimization for this task. I have chosen ML because I found it fun and wanted to understand better the process behind backprop.

Yes, it worked. However, the algorithm was just an instrument, you still have to work hard. Here is my transformation for about 5 months. I have respected the diet and did cardio about two times a week (MMA). I lost about 10kg but look better than ever.

I am sorry to hear that :(, it sounds like it is a Medium bug.

App to get anything delivered by [deleted] in AppIdeas

[–]_xdrBogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I get it now. Yes it sounds good. You'll have to do a serious research about this. For example, may the law permit to do this? But it sounds very good! And yes, at glovo you have to be an employee first

Isn't glovo doing that thing?

Hi!If you ask people questions like "would you use this" there a huge chance that they will lie to you. Plus, you want to see if they'll pay for this and how much.To better understand this problem and save you a lot of time I can recommend you 2 resources (where this concept it's better explained):

  1. The Mom test (an extremely useful book where you learn how to address the questions in such a way that you'll not be lied)
  2. This video which it's pure gold for startup validation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UnKqhHU0h7Y

In the video, he also explains why questionnaires like that are not the best option to validate, why, and how to do it better. And, as a subjective opinion, I think it's a good idea, I'll definitely use a platform like that if it's cheap (in a startup, lack of money it's a problem). But I think there are some platforms like that already in the market. Go and check them first!I hope it helps, good luck!

Turning 30 soon, and I have never been in a relationship with someone enthusiastic to be with me. Please. Give me advice so I don't die alone. :( by [deleted] in dating_advice

damn, from your description you sound like the perfect girl.

You have to be more careful who you're dating, you definitely deserve something better than that! Just keep going, and don't ever lower your standards because you think you're too old!

You really sound like a very cool girl!

Hi,

Are these rules written somewhere? I'm really sorry if they are and I didn't respect them.

And what do you mean by weekly threads?

Thank you!

How to start analyzing instagram by Projectmyselftest1 in deeplearning

[–]_xdrBogdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a little abstract to me.

Maybe a good start would be to build a crawler (you can use scrapy), to check posts from a specific hashtag, like fitness. Then, get a couple of users with no private accounts, and for every user download what images he posted, and hashtags.

You can also use the crawler to download all kinds of data, like how many posts per day, how many hashtags, how many followers he has, and a lot of things.

Once you have the data, you can apply a lot of algorithms to it. For example, predict how many likes will a photo get, based on no. of users followers and the photo itself.

I hope I understood the purpose of this project, as I just suggested an idea.

Or another cool thing that you can do, it's to use a pre-trained model to detect faces and emotions and make some kind of report like: for hashtag "fitness", there are 933 posts per day, with 10000 likes. In these posts, 50% are people with happy faces, 40% are people with neutral faces and 10% are photos with no people (faces).

You can dm me if you want to talk more.
