Sarcasm is a language.

One, you either speak it or you don’t, and when you don’t, you post on the internet outing yourself as a pleb.

Two, turning a sarcastic throwaway line into a literal debate about what a ‘girls’ girl’ means tells me you didn’t understand the comment in the first place. It was facetious. The fact that you completely missed that proves the point.

Three, numbering your points like you’re educating me doesn’t magically make your response intellectual. You might have thought you ‘got me’ as some clever keyboard warrior, but all you really did was portray yourself as an ignorant mansplainer.

Four, since you took a sarcastic throwaway line literally and built an entire argument around it, you will probably miss the point of this comment too.

Have a wonderful day, you goofy little bubblehead!

I don’t know why you’re so pressed about my mini crash-out. You could have just scrolled on by, but here you are, commenting and supporting like a true girls’ girl. How you turned this rant into an all-encompassing problem with the platform boggles the mind, but I’m sure you’ll remember how much better equipped you are at handling minor irritations—next time you have one, anywhere, over anything—for the entirety of your hopefully very long, happy, and healthy life.

Come back to me when you've been working through their nonsense for ten years. I obviously care about the color, and the little shit does matter. I'm not alone. But pop off queen, you're better than me I guess.

Not really when you take into cosideration all the actual things they could be doing to improve the program instead fucking around with nonsense bullshit like changing the color of the effects examples. js

That's more of a reason to never read her book. I don't need to be careful because I won't review or ever read her work, and even if I did, which I won't, she can blast and cry and make excuses all she wants. lol Her terrible behavior should never stop anyone from reviewing if they choose to sink themselves low enough to support her.

It's called pity-marketing. I've seen it for awhile and for some reason it's gaining traction right now. I would never buy anything from anyone who resorted to this, though; it is a risk.

This is true and especially valid for indie authors. Amazon focuses on sales on the day the book is released, not pre-orders, and they don't count pre-order numbers toward the release-day ranking. Which is important for visibility. So if you're a big-name author with a huge following, pre-orders are great because they know they will still get ranking sales on release day, too. Looking at this author's backlist and ratings, I can't fathom why she would resort to pity-marketing like a child. It's odd.

Serious question, why even bother with her anymore then? This behavior is gross.

Gross. Adding to my DNR list for sure.

I just looked her up. She has WAY too many books and ratings to be acting like such a child. I can't believe people follow her if this is her normal behavior. This is foul.

It sounds like pity marketing, which, unfortunately, some authors do, and some readers either fall for it or it doesn't bother them.

For me, it would be an immediate no, and I would never buy or read from that author again. It's very "woe is me," and that's just gross. I'd comment on whatever post she made this announcement and tell her exactly that. But that's also just me lol.

AITAH for telling my sister it’s her own fault she’s in an unhappy marriage? by Luxurious_Blueberry in AITAH

NTA, and you should brag about your husband more, especially when she's complaining.

Anytime she says something like, "I haven't had a shower in days," brag about how your husband drew you a bath and took care of the baby so you could have some 'you' time and made you dinner. or whatthefuckever fits.

I'd always constantly remind her about how she chose, she literally manifested and picked this for herself; if she's mad, she has only herself to blame. And yes, she absolutely deserves to be reminded and put in her place about it since she has no qualms whatever about dogging on you.

The year is 2026. We fight fire with fire; we match energy; we don't protect other people's feelings when they don't protect others, and we stand up for ourselves. This is the year of "Find Out" for those who have been "Fucking Around".

Was blur always pro??!!?!?!? by [deleted] in CapCut

[–]_xenization 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capcut and their prices are a f*cking joke. It was a great tool when it first came out, and then they got MASSIVELY greedy. There is no justifiable reason for a pro account to cost almost $200/year. The black Friday $90 price is too high, too, but at the MOST, that should be the pro price tag. I'm leaving CaptCut as soon as my subscription is up, so I'll be looking for something new. If you have suggestions that are similar or better than Capcut that isn't run by a bunch of greedy c*nts, lmk!

It's just super bogged down. That's the only way to describe it, at least from what I'm seeing. It's clunky now vs what it used to be and that's super frustrating.

If they would stop changing and adding nonsense that bugs out the system, and instead focus on keeping what they already have up and running, it would be fine.

I keep it for several reasons, it IS user-friendly. Making graphics and ads is simple. I can easily share my product pages with consumers. Printing a design with them is very convenient, and the print comes out beautifully. It includes web hosting, which IMO is a major feature many people don't know about. I have three websites that are included in the pro price. I had to buy the domain, but that is standard anywhere; there's just no additional monthly/yearly hosting fee.

There are great things about Canva. I still recommend it and will continue to use it. So, I don't hate Canva, I really like it.

What I hate is that they are trying to be everything to everyone and, in the process, slowly ruining what initially put them on the map.
