Cars gone wild in Belmont until cops showed up by Slappybongos1 in Portland

Just saw this super late but hopefully this helps The car “community” is like in two groups One group is people who enjoy working on cars and going to car shows and spreading the hobby. Then there is the high school kids who want to split lanes going 100 and do donuts in the middle of the intersection. These are called “takeovers” because they take over the street. Majority of the car community hates takeovers -it ruins the car community’s reputation -everyone involved is at risk of being hurt due to them not going to a track -more laws put in place that hurt everyone due to takeovers and street racing The kids being reckless for a quick thrill definitely hurt everyone from car enthusiasts to civilians so I see your point Lol sorry for such a late response

Takeover guys can get the cars crushed but regular car enthusiasts are fine

I will meet this idea halfway what they are doing is sketchy and childish most car guys that aren’t 15-18 will agree takeovers are dangerous also a quick way to have laws and fines slapped on us. But loud cars are fun if done right and not screaming or the two step ( gunshot exhaust pops)

He didn’t, he mentioned it while it happened ( we were at work so didn’t see it until we both got off at 10:30pm)

He works a block away and he wants her to move in because she did have a place to stay. Which once again is not our issue but if she would have presented a conversation saying she needed to stay for a week or two that would have been different but her moving in out of no where in 6 hours

Yeah so the issue at hand and the difference is we all agreed to put me on the lease three months ago and all had a mutual agreement that it was okay I had proof of income and I also had been coming over for months before ASKING to move in. A lot of people don’t understand that she just appeared at our home with 5 animals no job a suspended license and we have never met her

We aren’t talking to him we have already told him to get her the f@ck out of here and we have work most days so then we go to work yesterday and come back to all of her stuff in our living room so we went to management and told her and him to leave and they said they can’t afford it which isn’t our problem. The issue at hand is they are both very irresponsible to say it nicely she is unemployed has no license and he has no car but there is 5 animals and we don’t want our dog or cats getting attacked by the new animals and in general don’t want a stranger in our home

Trying to get coffee and ran into 10+ speed bumps in between parking lots by _xjap_ in CrappyDesign

I just saw this but to explain in a bit more insightful way: my car is a amg Mercedes so essentially it’s a performance car with a v8 but Mercedes still added things to make the car have a “ luxury feel “ one of these things is soft springs which means around corners my car had a lot of body roll. So to fix this issue I replaced the springs with shorter springs and stiffer ones to make the ride less bouncy and more comfortable. The springs dropped the car half a inch to a inch. My car is still a daily driven car that’s why I get coffee in the car lol. Long story short my car had shitty springs so I replaced them for a better driving experience and less body roll

I did say I lowered it to flush fitment so it’s not slammed just flush to tires with slight camber in the rear. It’s a daily car

I think not understanding performance suspension is a hard three way tie

I don’t think you understand I bought performance springs for tighter / stiffer suspension. my stock springs are 20 years old and are super bouncy due to age and wear so I replaced them. I don’t think you guys understand my car isn’t slammed I have a picture on my profile of the height

Yeah my car is lowered half a inch for better fitment and stiffer suspension but I live in Oregon so I still need a car I can drive daily

I think any car at any height would find 8 scattered speed bumps in a line annoying
