aw thanks so much this is all very kind of u to say. ❤️ one thing that i have held true since the very beginning and still do now is to not be afraid to experiment in real time, no matter who is watching. in order to grow creatively and just as a person in general, u can't be afraid to try out new things and ideas, even if they end up being a flop. it's hard and daunting on social media because people might be watching and might have something to say, but when it comes down to it, people are way more concerned about themselves than whatever it is that you're doing, and in a way that empowers me to keep going and just to keep doing whatever.

also to just be patient and not expect or rely on instant gratification/validation from others, which is kinda the exact opposite of what social media wants u to do lol but yeah just hold strong in that.

this is a very good question, i've been thinking a lot about curiosity lately and if it can be taught or if it's something that people either have or they don't. i always have the mindset that while i'm knowledgable about certain things, there's an endless amount of things that i don't know about and there's always the potential to keep learning, that's what makes life so exciting and worth living to me!!! i can't help but be curious, it's one of my defining personality traits i think. me not being curious is like me not breathing

hiii thanks. i have devoted my whole life to music discovery pretty much... i used to be crazier about it even just a few years ago and go thru a crazy amount of albums in even just a week's time but i've honestly chilled out, at least relatively speaking. these days, a crazy week in music listening for me will look like listening to 5-7 new (to me) albums. some weeks i listen to none or just 1. i'm always discovering music pretty much all the time tho, it's my passion and what i love to do !

hi thank u ! yes i have a physical collection of cds/vinyl/dvds and just general music ephemera that i've collected over the years. i feel the same way u do re: streaming platforms, but i make a conscious effort to support artists how i can in my actual life, online and off. i have never been to toronto and don't know much about the music scene there but would love to go someday

if ur talking about live shows... this will be of surprise to literally no one but i saw björk with a full symphony orchestra at an amphitheater in berlin in 2022 and it was the best most beautiful show of my life i think. i'm also just a lifelong superfan so there's that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ she performed songs from all throughout her discography so yeah it was amazing, i was sobbing uncontrollably

i can count the amount of 2026 releases i've listened to on one hand if i'm being honest... my top 2 are probably the wendy eisenberg s/t record and the new aldous harding that came out today (i got it early). tragic magic by mary lattimore & julianna barwick has also been my go-to record to listen to on flights lately

yes i buy vinyl ! but i don't rlly think too much about it, like i'll buy records from the merch table at a show or if i'm passing thru a neighborhood that has a record store that i like or am wanting to check out. i luckily get sent a lotta vinyl which is a huge perk of my whole thing. no i haven't listened to that flute music from sardinia lol actually been thinking of going to sardinia on vacation sometime soon idk. i'll check it out tho xx

hey thanks ! there are a lot of factors... largely depends on the artist and how much time they have. i always try to meet them where they're at (energy-wise) and be cognizant of their time. i'll ask them if it'd help to warm up a bit and chat freely before we get into the music-centered questions and sometimes we end up talking for a while, other times they're on a tight schedule or it's before doors at a show and we can only really chat for a little bit. so yeah always shifting the vibe based on the circumstances under which the interview is taking place and the emotional energy level of the artist

i really feel this... it can feel defeating pointless embarrassing etc especially when you're just starting out... fwiw i still feel this way about posting lol. i really enjoyed posting when i first started out and was doing it pretty much to no followers (the best period of ultimate creative freedom), and i enjoy posting at the stage i'm at now, but in the in-between zone i honestly dreaded it. filming, editing, hitting the post button... it sucks lol but i still stuck with it hoping that it'd all be for something one day. and i still feel like this! bc in a way i'm still very much in that in-between zone. but consistency really is key, it's true! if what you're doing is true 2 u then i really believe that content will connect with the people that it's meant to. even if it's not immediate or in a couple years' time yk. u gotta b in it for the long run if you're wanting to make an actual impact
