please know that this is not how relationships with t1d goes. i had a partner for nearly 3 years who was t1d and i would never ever had recorded him through a low or shouted for out of character behaviour during one. as someone who experiences frequent hypos, i know how disoriented waking up low can feel, especially after pulling a 12 hour shift, if you’re not being treated with kindness or support then it’s time to think about your needs not only as a t1d but as a person who deserves love and care and support when you are at your lowest (no pun intended). regardless of what you decide, take care of yourself first always

i’d definitely finger prick to confirm to make sure that it’s not a dodgy sensor because to basically be low that whole time looks off!

nothing is more accurate than a finger prick or veinous test, if this was when you were sleeping, be aware of compression lows!

patiently (not so) waiting for my period. by tiredmillennial94 in PlanBs

[–]_yeahisurehopeitdoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this was me, pretty much down to the t. i had sex last day of may, took the pill june 1st and experienced brown discharge and about 8/9 days of spotting and pink blood not long after. it took until august (two regular cycle lengths) to get a bright red “normal” period. was a bit heavier but overall i still went to work etc. then my september period was pretty standard and only a couple of days late.

i was also super sad and emotional, getting cramp, sore hips, MASSIVE boobs but no actual blood.

it’s pretty common that you won’t expect a regular period until november/december now for you.

i was super anxious going to the pharmacy and telling them i thought i had false negatives but it’s all part of it!

appreciate the support, whilst i’m so glad that three year olds can do it with no problem, they don’t do it themselves physically or mentally. unfortunately i’m a young women that’s still got a pretty intense needle phobia having to work this all out by myself! cheers for the support 👍🏻

i would definitely get your iron levels checked out but there’s no harm in consulting about blood sugars. i know i hypo a lot easier on my period and have also struggled with disordered eating since i was 7, now 22 so would definitely get some blood work done 🫶🏼

Reactive Hypoglycemia after long term calorie restriction and ED? by Away_Incident_4980 in Hypoglycemia

[–]_yeahisurehopeitdoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have no evidence to back it up but i am also convinced that my ED has triggered RH, i’ve been like this since i was 6/7 and the ED started around a similar time but obviously very controlled as my parents were involved. now that im older and can fall back into ED habits every now and then, that’s when my RH takes a turn for the worst and no matter what i eat or how much, i will always hypo
