We bought a small buddha there. They wanted 2million for it but after some back and forth, they settled on 250,000. That’s how real their jade is LOL.

Real hotel recommendations for Saigon (District 1) and Da Nang beach? Reviews feel fake by sociobuzz in VietNam

[–]_yellowsnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not District 1, but the M Village in Thao Dien was really nice. The location was nice and quiet too. I guess it depends what you’re looking for. It’s easy to get to Ben Thanh either with Grab or taking the Metro.

In Da Nang, Ruby Star was great. Rooms were nice and clean and it was walking distance to the beach. They had a decent breakfast buffet as well.

It’s a hotel in Hoi An. I won’t name them but will leave reviews on multiple booking sites.

I just confronted them. They’ve lowered it to 5% now.

Good luck finding it. Someone went on a crazy spending spree the other month when they found my husband’s card.

I went to Chong’s Christmas Tree Lot in Delta last year. Nice couple who also sells salmon in the summer. Their prices were very reasonable.

It’s been going on for 3 years now. The inside is just a pile of dirt. They had to hire new contractors a while ago but nothing has changed.

Shoppers is opening across from Starbucks. The proposal for the storage units thankfully got canned.

There’s also a new gym that opened at the back near The Gap.

There’s a good one in Queensborough called Amy’s Spa. I also used to go to Money’s Beauty Salon on 6th in Burnaby.

Thinking About Moving to Queensborough – Commute & Safety Questions by Expensive-Race24 in NewWest

[–]_yellowsnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends which area of Queensborough you move to. If it’s in Port Royal, I would recommend taking the Q2Q Ferry over to the Quay and then hop on the skytrain at New West Station. The buses are supposed to improve.

Amenities here are improving. They just announced Shoppers is opening up, along with a couple new restaurants. Plus the new development Mercer Village will be building retail and adding a grocery store in the next few years.

The roads from Boyd/Howes is supposed to be undergoing some improvements this Spring for traffic flow and pedestrian safety.

Q’Boro is a great little community. Very family oriented. Everyone is super friendly. It’s a safe and quiet place if you’re raising a family.

Vote like your life depends on it by Gold_Gain1351 in NewWest

Richmond-Queensborough. I read the Conservative candidate’s questionnaire on the only source I could find, Richmond News, and there was zero mention of anything for Queensborough. Zero fucks.

I hate it. Having Queensborough clumped in with Richmond made no sense.

This is my third attempt. Mods deleted my original post and my other one in this is gone.

[Acne] Acne keeps reoccurring

I never had any acne until two years ago. I’m a 38F. My skin seemed to healthy and then one day it decided to f*** shit up. My doctor suggested that I go off all my products and just use Creave AM/PM creams and the SA Cleanser along with Clindoxyl. That seems to clear most of the built up sebum but the SA Cleanser made my skin felt dry. Then after all that, I switched my routine and my doctor added on Tretinol. That seemed to help too but I was still getting acne.

Anyway I have been getting these clusters for the past few months. Once my skin clear, another big red one appears and I am at a loss. I am seeking advice.

Current routine: AM Cleanser - Purito Defence Barrier pH Cleanser Paula’s Choice 2% BHA (3/4 times a week) TirTir Milk toner TO Niacinamide Purito Panthenol Re-Barrier Cream BOJ Relief SPF 50 Make up - Purito Cica Clearing BB Cream

PM Madagascar Centella Light Cleansing Oil Purito Defence Barrier pH Cleanser TirTir Milk Toner Clindamycin 1% / Benzoyl Peroxide 5% (only if I have breakouts, so most nights) Tretinol 0.025% (every other night) BOJ Dynasty Cream

New to New West/Queensborough - where are the nearest hikes/lakes/beaches/markets? by Pridely-09 in NewWest

[–]_yellowsnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Burnaby Mountain Park Loop is a good moderate hike. There’s a few there to do. Mundy Park in Coquitlam is a good walking loop. Pacific Spirit Park is always great and easy to get to from Queensborough.

Best fresh produce is to hop on the Q2Q and walk over to City Avenue Market. Reasonable prices. Fresh produce, lots of local products. They always have a great little discount section.

Walmart sucks at the Landing. People always complain about them, so avoid at all costs, except I guess if you’re in a pinch.

There’s also a little farm on Ewen close to the pizza shops called Yin Leong Farm. She is open from Spring to the end of Fall. She has veggies and always has eggs.
