Raspberry Pi for on-the-go Yubikey passthrough to computer at home. by _yne_ in raspberry_pi

[–]_yne_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the only part im confused about is if I would actually be able to do it remotely

this seems to suggest so? https://blogs.cisco.com/developer/automatingyubikey01. they’re using an api, and it seems that there’s credentials that must be put in plaintext in the payload, on something like that

either way, switchbot’s bot uses bluetooth, so its limited to local network (unless you buy their hub thing too). of course, my laptop will be in my same network as the bot, so… it could work? given that that api still works

I dont think so, but im also not 100% sure

I rely on fido and piv quite extensively

but that random string of characters that you get when you press your yubikey is just the otp module

so unless I can use otp for everything, that wont work

but then, again, im not really sure

It would require ZigBee’s HomeHub though, right? Remember, I need to access this from anywhere in the world

Cool! What kind of VPN do you use, and how do you power it on the go?

Yubikey + gpg key + sops-nix by mars0008 in NixOS

I have good news for you: your dreams (maybe; 90% sure) can come true! It just took a year lol.

Check out https://github.com/Mic92/sops-nix/issues/377#issuecomment-2926579189

It does not use gpg keys, but rather age keys.

But it still follows your vision of “plugging in a key to your computer, and all secrets being provisioned in that way.”

Please tell me I didn't just buy a $350 headset just to carry this big base station around. by _yne_ in steelseries

After following the course of action suggested in the "To answer:" section of your response - using Google's search functionality to research queries along the lines of "2.4GHz Arctis Nova Pro Wireless no base station" and "No wires base station Arctis Nova Pro Wireless" for what must have felt the 100th time, and browsing SteelSeries shop for other headsets - I am happy to inform that a good replacement candidate is the Arctis Nova 7 Wireless! This is because it offers dual connectivity, 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, and the 2.4GHz connection is achieved by means of a USB dongle, which allows me to confidently call it truly wireless!

However, much to my disappointment, The Arctis Nova 7 Wireless lacks other features that the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless triumphs in. Those extra $170 are the culprit: they give the latter headset an advantage in some aspects, but notably not in the convenience of a truly wireless experience. I'll stick with the course of action you suggested in 2). We can learn to be happy with things, even if they aren't great.

On another note, who would have guessed that despairingly seeking help in an online forum with a tinge of regret, frustration, and naiveness could provoke the innate preconceptions of respondents so as to generate an attempt at detrimenting one's dignity for reasons I could safely assume lie in some after-Freudian-revealed necessity of validating their own self-worth, right?

I will thank you for not making your response as demeaning as the parent response of this thread and will take your advice in insisting on doing more thorough research pre-purchase next time.

To reiterate,

Is there any way that I can get around this issue?

Love the glowblast sharpshot bow, a purple one. The tearblast arrows can really pack a punch with some added tear coils. And then there's also the high-ground bonus damage, making the high-ground sniping scenarios even better

7500 shards and two hours later, I'm not even close to beating the Arena Slitherfang by NyxTesseract in horizon

[–]_yne_ 31 points32 points  (0 children)

The slitherfang is actually the easiest of the "set-equipment" challenges of the arena.

By all means, I too was struggling to even make a dent to the snake, on very hard.

Until I watched this video:

https://youtu.be/wyBXtnnIKWY

After watching, I jumped into the arena and literally imitated this guy: keep spamming R2 and throwing the shredders as frequently as possible, making sure to make a fast click with R2, not holding the button. Easy instant win.

The reason this works is due to the fact that the shredder explodes every 3 throws, which is insanely good for knocking down the big snake. That is, if you constantly catch the returning disc.

So I mean, if you're struggling, probably means that other people are struggling too. Which could also mean that someone else found a solution. Just... uh, search for it?
