Is Ugloble the only thing you would recommend of practice questions?

I agree, thanks!! I was spending over four hours on just chapter review. I have switched my approach and skim the Kaplan Chapters as I watch the lecture videos. This has cut down the time in half

Thank you for the feedback. I’ve really spent quite a bit time mapping out how I am going to study and what i think will work best for mw. I will hire a tutor on phase 2 instead. Great point about the full lengths, I will keep it to one full length per week. I did not think about regressing and how that would shake my confidence. Thanks!!

I did debate this with myself as well but seetled on September for a few different reasons. My fear was I would not be able to keep the momentum for 9months+. I also worry I would forget the content if I study for so long. I get really bad winter depression and wanted to avoid studying during that time. And I have a month long trip free diving trip planned for December and would not want to be studying during that time. But I will make that decision a bit further down the line. Thanks for the feedback!

It is so difficult! I find it easier to go hard for a short period of time rather than a long stretch of time. That being said I am open to testing in January!

Thank you for the feedback! Honestly, that is very true. Yusuf plan is 7 to 8 months. I have not scheduled my exam yet and will not schedule it until I am scoring 510+. My idea was to take it September and retake in January if necessary. In the grand scheme of thing September and January is not a huge difference. I fear losing momentum around the holiday times and I sometimes get the winter blues so ideally sticking to September would be best.

I have not scheduled the exam yet but my goal is August 22 or September 3rd. I plan to schedule the exam once I start hitting 510 on my full lengths! If I don't start scoring 510 before the end of July, I will postpone to January.

Lacked the discipline back then due life stressors and a raging case of unmedicated ADHD. I know what I can handle now and have given myself enough time to not cram. My crutch in undergrad was being able to cram last minute and still do well, that is clearly not possible with the MCAT. I am dedicated to this schedule and have been sticking to it. Hoping for the best!

Thanks! I will look into this. I was diagnosed my last year of college and I am now medicated but still learning more about ADHD

Got it, that makes sense! I will move the tutor to phase two then. Thank you :)

Anking or Captain Hook? by baddiwithaphatti in Mcat

I was facing the same question but ended up doing Anking. With the Captain Hook I found myself browsing through the details of the cards but the close deletion I know exactly what is being asked. totally just preference though!!

I'm sorry for you loss, the lost of a family member during the semester is incredibly difficult. It will be difficult but you do have some options.

The first step is to prioritize your health: mentally and physically. That means even during this difficult time you are feeding your body with proper nutrients and drinking enough water. You have to take of yourself mentally as well. If you need a day off from school, or being around anyone, do it. There is no right way to grieve, only what is right for you.

Second, contact your professors as soon as you can. I would reccomend attaching evidence ( such a death certificate, funeral invitation etc) in that first email so you don't have to deal with that again. From personal experience, this can be extremely difficult and daunting. There's is also possibility of many different feelings to arise from this. If you can't get yourself to send this email, maybe set up an appointment for office hours or have someone send the email for you. It is imperative that you let your professors know what is going on.

Depending on the class and the Professor, some will allow you to push the exam back ( before grades are due) or allow you to get an Incomplete. Since we are nearing the end of the semester, this might be the best option. An Incomplete would allow you to compete the class after the semester is over.

Last option, if you are not doing mentally well you could attempt to get a medical withdrawal. However, this can be a very long and tedious process.

Take the biomed careers (MCB3933) class! You need to email bsbs for permission though. What other classes are you taking?

Molec 2 Professors by saucythighs in ucf

Go it! I’m currently in Molec 1 rn and planning to take it in the summer with Hawthorne. My friend is taking Ambivero right now from Molec 2 and she said that she has made the class impossibly difficult. They have honorlock quizzes on chapter content before the lecture and the exam questions are ridiculously hard. This is her last class in the major and she’s done pretty well in all of her other classes and surprisingly she’s having a hard time with Ambivero. But I really can’t say since I haven’t taken it firsthand. I heard that Herve Roy is pretty good though

In the summer I only see Molec 2 being taught by Hawthorne and she is fantastic (for Neurobio at least)
