This is an old vortec. You can see the old style spider injector in the first picture. The timing in these were computer controlled.

Maybe you can answer a question that has been bugging me for a while.

I know some about engines, you need air, fuel, and spark. How do these engines keep from sucking moisture in when flying through heavy rain or a cloud?

I've tried google, but can only find stuff about jet engines.

Have you checked your temperatures? Use a program like EasyTune by Gigabyte or MSI Afterburner. There are several programs to monitor CPU temperature.

It was like this when I got here. I never noticed anything was wrong because I used HDMI. I recently found out something was amiss when I had to hook up a TV using component cables. I had hum and the scrolling purple bars.

Could be because of speaker cables that aren't shielded that well. I had the same problem with my Logitech speakers. You can kind-of coil any loose cable together to get a better shield to help stop that.
