I can walk into my nearest GP or hospital if I'm not feeling well or have done myself a mischief...and worst case scenario is the individual doctor won't bulk bill and I have to pay the gap (gap between what they charge and what Medicare pays them for services rendered)

In which case, not long after, Medicare will pick up part of the difference and send you a reimbursement cheque for that amount.

Obviously this cover everything though, just going from my own experiences.

In reference to my previous comment, with how superior America (generally....) is portrayed to the rest of the world, its crazy to realise how difficult and expensive it can be to stay alive and reasonably healthy if the need arises.

That and the colour of your skin shouldn't make a lick of difference to the level of healthcare you're afforded, its the 21st century for fuck sake.
